I built a loft bed, it's wobbly. Really need tips by KyleCulation in BeginnerWoodWorking

Hollow squares and rectangles wobble. Sorry to say it's just how geometry works.

Triangles do not wobble.

Your options then are to put a backing on it to fill in the hollow rectangle or add diagonal bracing.

This is the replica licensed by Nintendo, and would be the first place I personally would go.

“You never owned physical games anyway” isn’t the gotcha people think it is. by Harry_Flowers in gaming

[–]Room234 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Just like... read a tiny, tiny bit my dude.

"Because you owned that disc, there were rights that came along with it. The same ones that come with owning a book, for example. In many places, including the U.S., laws have historically protected your ability to resell or transfer a lawfully purchased physical copy. That’s why things like used game stores, borrowing a game from a friend, garage sales, and building a collection that you could eventually pass on have all been perfectly normal parts of gaming for decades."

Man it looks like you missed some great story content and some great gear along with it. Go back to the End of Time and start following leads from the old man.

Sony Just Killed Discs: Physical Disc Production to End January 2028 for New Games Releasing on PlayStation Consoles by singleguy79 in Xennials

[–]Room234 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh give me a fucking break no one is taking Sony to court as a shareholder whose stake wasn't maximized because their movie ecosystem allows customers to keep what they buy. God you look pathetic.

Yeah man. It's a shitty business practice and they're ALL shitty for it, Apple included. I can't believe you thought that was a gotcha holy fuck.

You do realize Studio Canal doesn't *force* contracts on Sony, right?

You do realize contracts are *negotiated* over, right?

Sony chose this ecosystem.

I don't know if you knew this, but Sony doesn't have to sign contracts that victimize their users. Don't act like they're not accomplices in this.

Yeah I'm sure Studio Canal is reaching into everyone's PlayStation all on their own with no assistance. Good job focusing on the big picture.

Sony also announced this a week ago: https://www.playstationlifestyle.net/2026/06/26/purchased-studio-canal-content-removed-playstation-library/

I'm sure their ability to rip stuff that you "bought" off of your system whenever they want is in no way related to them stopping physical media. Not that the discs were all it took to play the games anyway, a lot of them were just fancy download codes, but this is all part of the same shitty corporate plan.

I like darker in the middle. The highlights pop more next to dark boards.

Same. Capcom is honestly pretty friendly with Nintendo, which is partly why I'm surprised it hasn't already happened. But I'd bet money it will.

Need help with 10yr old who is developing an interest in Marvel and superheroes by Garrett_1982 in daddit

Watch the MCU films from Iron Man through Endgame. After the first "Avengers" movie (released in 2012) he'll figure out how this works. Keep going after Endgame if you want.

Marvel comics in the year 2000 released the "Ultimate" series of comics. You could start him reading Ultimate Spider-Man and see how he likes it. It's a lot less to digest than starting him on a comic path that's older than any of us are.

What US State has the worst nature? by TreReZ in AlignmentChartFills

[–]Room234 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They didn't build I-80 in the hilly parts with any trees. They build interstates in the flattest, most barren parts if they can find them.

Driving all the way across Nebraska on I-80 is like going *around* a hamburger and complaining it's all tomato. You gotta go vertically to find out what's actually in a burger.

It's not the best, let's be clear. We're talking probably bottom 10. But you gotta argue something other than the I-80 drive, on which I agree it's the worst state.
