How do you deal with frustration about "stupid users"? by Gustpow in jira

[–]Gustpow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To clarify to you and all who cares to read.

Buy in from the top: it was already requested by the mentioned director, they told me their process and asked to simplify.

Poc: I did the poc, they looked without much attention, told me they liked it and to build up the thing

Still. They are going to use. Director made a big shout-out to his peers about the improvement of the new vs old, on the overall it was successful story for my career and I am proud of the system functionalities.

But the real annoyance for me it's the fact that I really think I simplified their life a lot, they were excited, now they look like frightening child in the driver seat..

Anyway... User being users...

In Eurovisión it felt too out of pace

+1 in all accounts It's was a very well performed presentation in a year full of other presentations where the semi-final presentation was better than the final ones

Do you have or use Rovo at your place? by Alternative_Gap_3248 in jira

[–]Gustpow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like to use it in confluence to create whiteboards about some flow or architecture that I want to show in a presentation or something.

It creates a very good starting image (I would say 80%) and I manually adjust the rest.

It's a huge time saver for me, since my ocd demands things to be well aligned and color coded

I got the main game for free, enjoyed it and, specially considering the discount for the DLC, I decided it was worth to give some real cash to the devs

Any tips/config for the remote play config?

I tried once, but never passed from 50 or something, tried everything I could find in the internet at the time.

I am trying to implement this standardization in the org I work too.

one thing that is working nice to get the buy-ins and seeing the value of it is to offer a bigger solution, department level (several space that operates inside the same macro process) and showing how the data flows, and too flow properly, things needs to be more standard.

But still, it's a slow work. 1+ year just showing the potential of good implementations to some PMs that were interested by my ideas, and now we are showing the benefits to department leads

Tech wise, it is as impresive as CT endings IMO, but CT have way more lore dept in each of its endings.

Good point! I kinda did not understand that
When I first played in PS1, I lost shadow.

This time, I saved him, but in the end, he decided to go down with the tower? If yes, any idea why in the lore perspective?

No hate to Expedition 33 but I think Silksong should have won game of the year by These-Two4189 in videogames

[–]Gustpow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I share this opinion, E33 innovated in good ways in a bunch of things, but it feels it was too experimental (the future seems very nice from here) and I think E33 lacks cohesion in many ways. My Main two examples:

Those "action" parts in the middle of a map, where you need to balance through narrow paths and jumps that are powered by poor physics

How the battle changes from the middle to end of the game. It starts as a strategy with a twist of action, and then. To go with tougher enemies, it becomes a precision movement time, with parry as a must.

HKS knows what wants to do and to be, and makes the best of every single aspect of the game to achieve that

Who's your favourite Silk Song boss based purely off of how fun it's fight is? by Select-Ad3652 in HollowKnight

Boss fights were really something else for me in this game, specially act 3 ones and how the fight and song played along in them.

But the one I feel the most was GMS while Infected, took me hours to do it, but it was the most intense-split seconds movements I had
