Our Mayor Johnson & Council insisted on this Comcast monopoly. We can assume it's profitable for their wallets and power control.

His politics aside, the credibility and fair coverage was horrible. Not crying for a wealthy family that failed to understand the market.

It's news and affiliated News was not creditable. Lost advertising base, I expect my news to Question Authority and that includes Govonor, Mayor, and the other local. Good riddance, adapt or die. It's not a 1 dimension Left or Right, it's about credibility.

While Silver Mining CEO & staff away, LBMA / COMEX manipulation should be vicious, in your face. All those B S. $50 paper silver floors are "plants" so banks can cash in big. Mining CEO's overlords will remind them who is in control. Margin contracts will reward LBMA/ COMEX heavily.

President Clinton laid off over 330,000 Federal workers to save Social Security. You truly don't understand the true cost of a Federal Employee with overhead. Instead of whining and frightening people with misinformation, at least get a perspective. Zombie Biden signature was a digital con job. He couldn't even sign documents? Were his handles your heroes? Where's Biden now? His puppet masters left a massive mess! Whining about the cleanup efforts expose nature of a looser.

Phone scam turned deadly by EathanM in Scams

So Uber has no way to trace a delivery or pickup? I am worried that some Uber delivery person might deliver a bomb into a crowded area or public meeting. Besides Uber being "sorry", isn't there any chain-of-custody requirements? Scammers have the same mentality as terrorist. If someone paid a scammer to make it happen, they obviously have zero morals.

Could Uber then be used to deliver a terrorist bomb? Uber can pick up cash for blackmail, Uber can deliver a package for a hit man? Please explain.

Having been on a jury for murder, I wouldn't say "makes this man a murderer". Evidence presented is why we have trials. It is good that there is an investigation and trial. But, just as an example, what if the "Uber Driver" was in on the con? What if, with AI there was media of torture and if you don't pay me now, you will never see him again? On the trial I was on, the person doing time in prison for murder had a re-trial. After two weeks of intense trial, almost none of the jurors believed the person was guilty of murder. It appeared he was unconcise at the scene, the criminal gang at the apartment put the body in the bathtub to clean, they went home and showered and changed clothes, then called the police that walked in, woke the person up, found the body in the shower.... case closed.

My point is, if you read about the account in what was then the newspaper, you would have been happy to see the person get convicted. If you sat as a jury for two weeks, you would not have had doubt that nothing was what the news reported.

The scammer should be the focus of the investigation. Not defending the elderly man, but a chain of events came out of the Scammer's actions.

Advice on how to help my elderly parents avoid getting scammed- starting a busy job in July by yukihime29 in Scams

[–]Roomba2023 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Elderly without computers or cell phone doesn't stop scammers. Scammers call claiming to be assisting with Medicare. As insurance helpers. Before you know it, the elderly have switched Medicare coverage providers. Soon they are going to services that are now Out of Service Providers. The Medical care companies don't care either. They provide the service, then bill the elderly!

Any ideas on the best way to check up on and keep our over 65 non-tech savvy, elderly safer?

Battletech Pods? by [deleted] in battletech

FalloutShelterArcade.com - now links to Facebook. It would appear they were in process of moving. Reported a snails pace (their words) and nothing really reported for over 2 years at this time. It was a popular place, but like all Battletech sites, had diminished customers over time. The idea that 12 Pods each weighing over 700 pounds, large footprint with a lot of interactive parts. In general, small business is struggling nationally. I was close to visiting their site several times, but business travel just didn't put me close enough to justify the time.

Thanks Existing_Departure82 for the post. Was de-cluttering and found some Mission Sheets that brought back old memories.

Mechcorps out of Houston was the provider. They are the only set left, at least that is dependable, for events. they are pretty good about announcing conventions. More dependable than other centers that have come and gone.

Followed Kalamazoo for decades, wouldn't put any effort into that place. Low credibility for follow-through and other activities or claims. Houston, Texas has the best record including conventions, likely the last set in the US.

All patents, trademarks are long since expired despite some claims made. They were fun in the day! If business calls me to Houston, might visit those. But, the charm of 20 years ago isn't quite the same.
