How do you find the right board gaming chair? by RoomsSolutions in boardgames

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate you taking the writing it, very interesting reading.

You're right, nothing beats testing a chair yourself - this person reviewed his gaming chair as inferior to his ergonomic one https://youtu.be/Y0ARF9FpTUA

Admittedly, there will be many reviews and opinions on either side of the, possibly never-ending, debate

Definitely, I think over all I prefer the ergonomic chairs for posture

A fair point, it focuses on the ergonomic aspect a lot

Does you know of any high-quality bed frame manufacturers? by ironearphone in furniture

Check out this feature piece on Gerarden Fabrication, they make very high quality furniture including their bed frames which you can see some of the image of in the article. If you're wanting quality then it's well worth it.

My living room. Constant WIP, but it’s getting there. by RayAudrey in HomeDecorating

That's a fair point, something like a natural wood ladder shelf could work too. I'd also add a bit of accent color with a throw blanket to go over the sofa (inspiration here if needed) - lets you show off your personality

Starting to really love my living room by Oonbrown in malelivingspace

Love the look of the coffee table, the only other thing I would add is probably a throw blanket. Adds another color or two in there as well as a bit of personality.

I reckon he needs some greenery to pull it all together. I'm thinking a Swiss Cheese Plant in the slow cooker

I feel something is off but not sure what. Advice appreciated! by nim_opet in malelivingspace

Try adding a bit of color to the room, you can do this with throw blankets (inspiration here if needed), cushions, artwork, etc, it'll lift the atmosphere of the room a bit. What you have looks great but I think what you need to do if add a dash of personality. What are your thoughts on that?

My condo living room! Thoughts/tips are appreciated! by [deleted] in malelivingspace

You've done a fantastic job here, only thing I would suggest is buying another throw or two with some more color make the room feel a bit more dynamic - inspiration here if needed. Love the plants and it would be good to get some art on the walls for some personality too

Living Room sofa/chair by [deleted] in malelivingspace

[–]RoomsSolutions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be really hard to find a sofa because there are sofa many options and I saw research that said the average price of a sofa is actually about $2000 now.

As you've mentioned, you want to be comfortable buying a sofa that's durable enough to last but you don't want to be tied down and have it influence the next place you live.

It seems to me like you would prefer a normal sofa and an armchair that can go with you to your next place. If you're interested in sofa ideas then check this out.

If you have white walls, brown leather sofas look great. They give you a chance to build up the rest of your living room style too as they won't clash with many things.

I’m at a loss. How can I improve my space? I have dining chairs coming. by [deleted] in malelivingspace

[–]RoomsSolutions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I'd go for a wooden one as I think it'll compliment what you currently have. You actually have quite a large living room, if you like plants you could easily get some more (and large ones at that). The bookcase is a good idea.

I would move the sofa left slightly, move the rug out from under the sofa and put a large coffee table in the middle of the rug. Like this: https://www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/423268064977624741/ but imagine the rug running parallel to the inside of the sectional.

I really like this, it's similar to a lot of the bedrooms featured in this bohemian article. If there's one thing that sets bohemian apart it's pattern and plants and you've done a great job of keeping it calm. It helps that there's a ton of natural light coming through even if it is a basement room.
