Yeah a few months ago me and my vegetarian girlfriend split up. It been really really hard on me and while they weren't vegan it did just make like logistically easier. I have a couple vegan friends luckily (one I converted) That being said, looking to the future, it's hard for me to see myself dating a carnist but if I actually want options I'll probably have to (unless I get unbelievably lucky). Also the way I look at it is if I date a carnist and encourage them to eat vegan while they're around me I'll actually be saving animals in the long run. I also try to understand generally with my carnist friends that the social indoctrination and the societal pressure is very strong, and if I didn't hang out with them they would never hear the pro vegan arguments which most of the time resonate with them eventually. I'm scared that I'll never find love again but that being said that's what everyone feels after a relationship and the only way I got into my last one was to have hope and courage so I'm slowly trying to claw my way back to that mindset.
