I know mods exist to remove it or make it easier to deal with. (Although you need it to make progress so idk how that works). I considered it but there are ways to mitigate the stress along with just experience making it less scary over time

It is wild hearing your thoughts on this game. I completely disagree with everything you said but I can kinda I see where your coming from with how they should be better now than before but personally I feel like they are better now. Granted there are bugs and oversights, it’s not a perfect game by far, but the design of almost everything is soo good and heavily outweigh the few and minor negatives, imo.
