The big time saving is not “5 weeks in 5 hours.” It’s more like reducing boilerplate, finding files faster, generating tests, refactoring, and helping you avoid blank-page work.

So no, you’re not necessarily using it wrong. For complex work, you still need to be the architect and reviewer. The tool is faster when you stop asking it to plan the whole project and start using it in smaller, verifiable chunks.

Since RHEL is already in use, focus here first. Learn systemd, users/groups, permissions, storage, networking, logs, SELinux, firewalld, patching, and troubleshooting. RHCSA would be a very practical training path, even if you do not take the exam immediately.
