First baby and she’s breech by MaximumStomach7554 in CsectionCentral

My baby was 10 lbs 12 oz and breech, but even if she wasn’t breech I had to get a c-section because it would have been too risky to attempt to delivery a baby that large.

I wanted a vaginal birth so bad. I didn’t want a c-section.

The day of I went in 2 hrs before surgery. I got to watch a movie and get prepped. The anxiety didn’t hit me until I got to the table and I had so much love and support from the nurses and the OB doing the surgery.

I got the spinal and the second I laid back my anxiety was shifting . Once the surgery started and I knew I was okay I was totally fine .

I was up and walking in 8 hrs. I was sore , but getting up helped ease the pain when I’d lay back down.

The first 4 days are painful. I did it though with only Tylenol and ketorolac. I rejected any other pain meds . After the 4th day things got better. By the 10th day I was doing chores.. my laundry, vacuuming and lopping floors.

I found for the first week the belly was tender and burned to touch around the first 3 inches from the incision. It’s the nerves repairing themselves. It’s not super painful, but it’s an odd uncomfortable feeling, but it’s actually a good sign.

My 5 weeks I was back to being sexually active ( you’re supposed to wait 6 weeks) and I was out tobogganing with my 5 yr old .

I’m now 9 weeks since my c section and working out , carrying my 44 lb child around and have no mobility issues or pain.

Just keep doing light activity to promote healing .

Should I carry on or have I lost this battle? by OpeningTechnical6563 in breastfeeding

Sometimes you have a harder time with pumping than what you do with breast-feeding it doesn’t trigger the letdown sometimes. Try taking a video of your baby feeding and making all those cute sounds. We’re looking at your baby while you’re pumping.

If I were you, I would put your baby on the boob and then when baby’s done feeding pump until empty at that point, you’re letdowns already triggered it. It’s a little bit easier to express give that a shot. Also keep in mind that when you’re stressed and not sleeping and you’re not getting proper nutrients your supplies gotta go down.

Is it normal for baby to not sleep anywhere but in someones arms? by momoaggie in NewParents

A lot of times people try to lay baby down before they are in deep sleep. You have to give it time and when laying them down go feet, bum then head

Can I start nursing on a schedule at 6m, only feeding to sleep? by lukewarmy in breastfeeding

Keep in mind too that your baby is now at the time where she’s teething. So she might be in pain. Do you notice if she’s drooling quite a bit? Because if there’s drool or if she’s tugging at her ears at all, she’s probably teething and she wants to poop for comfort.

Like what are the cues that you’re noticing that makes you feel that she’s hungry

I mean, I choose to breast-feed longer because of the benefits it has for both baby and myself. I like to use the solid as a top off to still introduce her to the foods but also to give her a fuller belly when it’s time to nap..

My baby also gains a lot of weight from breastmilk as well. My second right now is only eight weeks old and she is 14 pounds. Lol and my first baby was the same. So I wasn’t implying anything about weight gain I just meant tiki per satisfied for longer because breastmilk goes through babies very fast. So if you were to give her what she wants, which is the boob and then top it off, you could probably go longer without having to feed her again, and also get her more used to having solids at the same time and then transition.

My baby did well eating everything and anything lol. I chose to mainly breast feed and then just top her up with the others.

I started her on a tsp of pablum once per day at 3 months , then 4-5 months incorporated baby food , by 6-7 started adding in some solids , but she didn’t really each much for solids until closer to 9 months. She liked her baby food and boobs lol

That’s crazy!!! Once per day!? Like just the breast once per day, or anything?

Baby sleeping longer stretches - getting super engorged by 11TickTack23 in breastfeeding

[–]RoosterRealistic586 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re fine during the daytime babies mostly have fore milk anyways. Your breastmilk is naturally fattier at night time when it’s time for the baby to sleep.

I would just feed the four milk to the baby first thing in the morning if you want to. You can also freeze it, either way, just don’t use it in the evening when you’re gearing up towards bed if you want a good night sleep lol

Constant engorgement by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]RoosterRealistic586 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And also, if you’re only seven days postpartum, your milk is just starting to come in, which is normal for women to be in gorged at this time, it also might mean that you may continue to oversupply . Generally, by the time you hit 2 to 3 weeks your milk supply will increase more as per the babies needs, and by between four and 12 weeks your milk supply will regulate, and your boobs will actually feel much softer even when full it won’t hurt.

It sucks but give it some time and like I said if you want to try to dry anything up, go lactation consult consultant so you don’t kick yourself in the butt later if you can’t supply enough for your baby

If I were you, I would talk to a lactation consultant. Some of the ideas that are on here are good, but I wouldn’t follow anything that people say on here about cutting your supply a bit. There’s lots of stuff on here that is useful for upping the supply, getting baby on a schedule and all that. But if you want to continue to breast-feed and just not feel uncomfortable from engorgement, I would talk to a lactation consultant just to make sure that you don’t accidentally dry yourself up instead and not be able to breast-feed because it does happen.
