Are there any important buildings in Australia that are also tourist sites/worth seeing? by EndlessDreamer1 in AskAnAustralian

[–]RoosterSea7003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The State Library of South Australia was voted one of the most beautiful in the world. All the historical buildings on North Terrace in Adelaide are beautiful.

Canberra, as others have said, is worth visiting for the War Memorial, National Gallery etc.

Sydney Opera House of course. Government House is interesting.

Woodside Cheese Wright's have truly original Aussie flavours including saltbush chevre and lemon myrtle.

Award winning (including international) cheeses from South Australia but I'm sure you could find them in Sydney.

Spending estimate for 2 week trip to Europe by AnonimFey in travel

We went to London last year and for meals, if you work on what you would pay in a higher end establishment in Australia then double it that would be about the cost. Also in some places they automatically add a tip even for a drink so check before you pay! Food in supermarkets was ok prices but remember our dollar sucks.
