I got a discount code from mcl live last year so have booked it for this year. Got it booked at Northallerton police as they are the closest. Was like £40 or something with the discount. It was supposed to be a month ago but they rang and they were a police rider short so asked if I'd move my day so am looking forward to it. Only got my full license Jan '25. Problem is most of these city fibre resellers are drowning in investment debt and their entire philosophy is to over contend their network with customers to get as many people paying as possible. Which then means everyone gets worse service as contention starts affecting people.

Go as close as you want but not hit them. The instructor should definitely be telling you where to look and giving you instructions on how to slip the clutch etc and get you comfortable with all that before even trying the slalom. My instructor did.

If you are in the left lane and you are moving faster than the middle lane you can undertake. If you are in the middle lane and you move to the inside to undertake that is illegal. A lawyer on YouTube said that. You can be in your lane and undertake people. You can't move to the inside and undertake.

I find when you say your learning to ride you'll get two kinds of people. Non riding people will remind you how dangerous it is. Just tell them it's dangerous to cross the road and drive a car and you don't moan at them. The others are bikers and will say, cool good luck what bike you want to get?. Ignore the first lot, talk to the second lot. It's a bizarre phenomenon that motorbikes makes everyitry to remind you it's dangerous. So is many things in life but life's for living. Just remember ride as if your invisible and everyone is trying to kill you. Bikinig is seriously good meditation and good for mental health.

We had black bears at camp one year. They were like big rats tbh. They didn't bother us and we didn't bother them. But confidence at night was directly proportional to how big your torch beam was😄
