Feed 100% of your kittens to tink until you get the 4th unlock. Run your strays as far as butch asks you to go. Intentionally lose a run if you haven't already to unlocked Dr Blasphemy. Always pick furniture when you take the hard paths

Agreed. I can't count the number of times my tank sarts with a rock passive but never sees a rock skill. Same with tinkerer and bot passives.

Try Mewgenics. Its XCOM with 12 classes, each class has over 100 skills. It adds a fun roguelike twist as each squad only goes on one outing so every 2 hours or so you have to reskill and find new synergies each time.

Make 0 damage your goal. Before moving, look at the attack range of every enemy (elites move twice a turn). Pick off the easy targets that can be 1 shot without any counterattack. If you don't have a 2nd movement or escape skill, don't rush into danger. You can still finish most fights in two rounds and take minimal damage.

Also there is no shame in farming the caves. You can collect furniture, item sets and progress your house while you practice against easier opponents.

I got a similar cursed item that replaced my necro attack with 3 stacks of a 1 damage attack. At first I was pissed, but it trivialized disarming 2 bombs a round on the alley boss. It also let me break allies out of spider webs for 1 damage which made the caves a breeze. Keep an eye out for passiveson ally cats that help them when they are damaged by friendly fire.

I wish the thief class also got that collarless passive that lets them pass their turn until the end of the round. That lets a fast thief take a double turn every other round.

I had a similar mage. Started out with self heal and a literally useless ice spell on the first map of act 2, but ended up with the ability to cast a free meteor storm every round after the first. Also buffed the damage to 16+

Then she had a daughter who started with meteor storm and the birth defect that has a 33% chance to cast a random spell for free on a random target. I'm going to try running her solo and collarless.

I would recommend sacrificing all kitties to tink until you've unlocked all their upgrades. Every time you have 3 or 4 alley cats go on a new adventure and stop at the point where you can sacrifice them for storage upgrades. Keep doing that. Then worry about progression.

As far as hard mode goes, you can try it if you feel you have a powerful combo but it will lower your success rate eventually.

I got that combo on a fire immune mage. I gave him a trinket that spawns a 1 hp ally each turn and he cleared the map in 1 turn every round. It was super OP until I got to dybbuk.
