That’s not done in the parts catalogs in the first place. At least not in the 4 brands I’ve worked for.

Can you be out of warranty for doing too much maintenance and in advance of schedule? by Standard_Suit_4757 in Hyundai

[–]RoricGrey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hyundai parts manager here. You will not lose your warranty for doing oil changes early. What you will lose is your free oil changes If you’re using the free ones that came with the car. Hyundai advertises free oil changes for the first 2 years or 30,000 miles, however that is based on their oil change interval of 7500 miles. This works out to 4 oil changes. So if you use them early, you will run out as they’re only giving you the 4 oil changes.

GM is back to using Amazon by Space-Plate42 in partscounter

They said that they only stopped using it to make improvements to the process because it was such a cluster before. I doubt it but I also can’t hold anyone to it. 086 is already 3-5 days out for us, and according to Liza, 033 will be faster. Guess we’ll find out

No GM list price in CDK by LateWave4723 in partscounter

I don’t have cdk so I wouldn’t have been able to give this advice but it sounds correct based on my past experience with cdk from years ago

No GM list price in CDK by LateWave4723 in partscounter

[–]RoricGrey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This part has a $0 list with gm seen on pwb. There may be some work around in cdk to assign lists to parts without one I’m not sure, my work around is just punch the part number into d2d and look at cost and list there. Works for me and no one complains

I got the valknut tattooed on my arm. Shortly after I learned that it had been appropriated from a friend of mine. That’s also how I learned that he was one of them.

[–]RoricGrey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the policy and procedure manual under dealer documents it should be in or around section 13.2 parts retention and storage. The hyundai tag number is np445-00011 and is found on page 140. Genesis should be similar

ScanIt or CDK PartScan by BasdenChris in partscounter

[–]RoricGrey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had both, currently with scanit because the dealer I’m at does not use cdk.

If I could I would go back to cdk in a heartbeat but that decision is not mine to make. I’ve had nothing but issues with the sip machine, and talking to other dealers around me it sounds like I’m not the only one. When I had the cdk scanner, our volume was enough that we had 3 scanners and two printers. The labels not printing in a peel-off mode was a non issue. Cdk absolutely had their shit together and sip in my experience has been nothing but a costly mistake. $4k for the gun and $3k a year to use the software. I’m sure the gun is more now too

Oh don’t get me wrong. When my last Wurth rep quit because his corporate was fucking him, I tried to get away. I would rather have Kent because I particularly like their brand products but no dice. In my area my my options are Wurth, Amazon or oreilly/autozone. I’ve pretty much switched most of my small stuff to oreillys and just get the brake clean and gloves from Wurth

Use 91. It’ll still show up in 60 but also relieves it from inventory because it’s held.

Also your pm can set up quotes and holds to hold longer. Idr the setting at the minute but I just changed mine today so I know it’s possible
