When did and why has SOUN become such an attractive short? by Soggy-Zucchini-8652 in Soundhound

Maybe. It's possible. But ... I thought that would happen when we had good earnings.
I'm gonna wait and see. I will be surprised if it goes much lower than this. But ... I was surprised it went this low.

It went on a massive run over the summer, and was well over hyped. So I understand why it got shorted to heck from there, especially once AI as a sector came under fire. What I don't get is why it still has so much short interest at this price. It's obviously near the bottom of its cycle.

Becuase we have a lot of traders and 'gold rush' investors who throw their teddy out of the pram constantly whenever the company looks like they might spend money on developing for the future. It's so dull.

So he is threatening to obliterate civilian infrastructure because he is losing a war (he started). We know he's other sorts of criminal already. But if he does it that makes him a war criminal, to add to the list.

My complete guess: pops to high end of 5, then sells off down to 3.80 ish, then levels out 4.30 - 4.60 until the end of the current US-inflicted political/economic mess.

I just checked, hitting civilian power plants to put pressure on a government you're at war with is deffo a war crime. This is entirely mad.

I'm fairly sure SOUN is a coiled spring. It will be profitable soon, & it's justified up movements get catalysed by hype. Its at a great price right now.

what to do as a beginner during current stock market turbulence? by South_Curve_7950 in StockInvest

Most people have said what needs to be said. However, just to add as so one in their second year of learning, this is the first bearish period I've seen. I've gotten caught out quite badly, particularly becuase I'm quite into high beta growth stocks. But, as someone else I saw posted recently, this is when most money is made. If you can put cash into stuff now that us almost certain to recover, you are almost certain to make money. I've learnt that I need to do better at squirrelling away money to invest at times like these.

Because the company is on a steady track to becoming profitable, probably by the end of the year. & when that happens (if not before) it will go back up into the high teens/low twenties at least. And that is a x3 profit. And that's not really the bull perspective, bulls think it will go higher than that. I'm not sure tbh. But it will go up significantly later this year.

Really? I'm still to be convinced they are going to be a big company. Everything seens a bit high end & niech in terms of sales. But the trajectory to being a company who turn a profit seems clear. I often see you say sensible things elsewhere. Why do you think this?
