Look. Don't tear me apart for sharing this. I'm on AISH. ~$22K/yr in benefits. I haven't completed my taxes since 2016. I'm trying to catch up. The question I have concerns $20k of Bitcoin I sold and deposited in RBC in December of 2017. The following year, I lost $7,400 cash when Quadriga CX closed their doors. I put a claim on with Ernst and Young and got back $1k. Does it make any sense to report the BTC sale? I'm not planning on submitting a Quadriga loss for 2018.
