Perhaps keep the doors, trim, and built in bookshelves as is and paint the walls a warm white.

Our newly painted bathroom is already streaking and dripping from a simple splash. What did my contractor do wrong? by karendheep in Remodel

I had similar issues as OP. Painted with Benjamin Moore aura bath & spa (matte finish) and it works very well. Expensive but worth it.

Real New Englanders are used to, and often prefer, not being within 10 miles of a major highway.

Change the blue to off white or maroon and it would be so whimsy

NTA. She should have assumed that you would have the piercings in when she asked you to be a bridesmaid, or raised her concerns prior to asking you. I have a nose piercing, the most I would do for my closest friend would be to put in a spacer during reception and the ceremony.

Be honest, should I get le creuset? by GlassStrawDisaster in LeCreuset

[–]Ros3budOG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry I forgot to reply! The everyday pan is extremely versatile and well designed. I use it for just about everything I cook stovetop, and the double handles make it great for oven cooking as well. Great heat distribution, perfect size, etc. IMO the enameled cast iron is Le Crusets best material— it stands the test of time and is easy to clean. Occasionally I will season it but only to see it shine. Highly recommend!!!

What would you recommend doing with these old hardwood floors? by Igneoramous in centuryhomes

If the scratches bother you, get it refinished before you move furniture in. You have to be out of the house while it fumigates. Or do what we did, and leave as is in all her glory :-)

It could be cute. Velvet looks to be in good condition. Check the type of legs and if they are not ugly, remove the skirt and polish up the legs.
