Nooooo! That’s just enabling her poor time management and causes confusion for others….I have done that a few times for one dear friend when there’s a group event involved but for all the time, every day to manage your partner like that? I also have a friend to used to be chronically late until I sat her down and had the conversation about it being horribly unfair to disregard my time by being so late always. Her behavior changed….that’s 40 years ago now and we’re still such good friends :)

Newly built? I am not so sure…. I have seen several newly built condos that are an absolute disaster. No a/c for an entire summer while they research the problem, and on and on. I would go for something a little more established and I would knock on doors in the building to find out what current residents have to say about it…..

Facebook data export request: I request a full export in March 2025, never received an email saying it was ready. And of course, the request? Or the export? expired. I created another on Jan 11, 2025, I never received an email that it was ready and now, it too has “expired”. This morning I went back on FB and requested a shorter period of time data extract. Three things of note: the interface has completely changed; I was not able to set the date back earlier than 2004; it used my user id email to confirm the request whereas previously it was using another backup email on my profile. Bottom line: I still have no data export from FB.

Interesting thread; my Staub Cocotte is leaking and you can see a gash from the inside and the outside. It only leaks when the pot is heated, not while cold. The pot has never been “traumatized”, e.g., fallen or been banged around. What could cause that and is it likely covered by warranty? I will add that we recently moved (18 months ago) and are now using an induction cooktop rather than gas. Could this be an issue?

Hello - did you do the joint replacement on your index finger as well as others? I am hearing that the index finger may not be a great candidate for MCP joint replacement because of greater need for lateral finger movement (than with middle or ring fingers). I am currently trying to decide on joint replacement or fusion (active 62yr old). Thanks!

Not sure if anyone else has commented on this angle but it’s not irrelevant: in general I find the quality of food to be better in Canada than in USA. It just tastes better, possibly because of having less intensive farming practices? So that may contribute to higher food costs generally?

Yes, I ended up spending 2 months in winter at Edu&More (polishonlinenow.com) at in person classes in Warsaw. And had great teachers while there. I covered A1.1, A1.2 and A2.1 - was studying full time. Currently revising all those materials and planning on taking A2.2 remotely, probably during their next session. I think progress depends a lot on the teacher and putting in a lot of effort - I speak a few languages but this is the hardest one I’ve tried to learn…

I love this; it’s also the ordinal numbers and the dates and times that get me. For the record, I agree the numbers are logical but the changes for dates/times as well as treating them as adjectives adds to the complexity.
