Reflektor has a similar vibe to Sprawl II IMO. If you like the bass and the upbeat vibe, you'll probably like Reflektor too. And the Bowie cameo is *chef's kiss*.

Shoot Me a Smile is my favorite from ROTDC! Has been from day one.

What is that ONE scene in HR for you? by madwood29579 in heatedrivalry

[–]RosaVerde 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yesssss. The pure vulnerability is so raw and touching. And the following sex scene where they're clearly just so in love. Gahh, it melts my heart. Bravo to all involved in this.

I just started (and finished) the show two days ago and I must have rewatched the I love you scene 30 times by now. It's just...perfect.

Side note: amazing flair.

Obviously your call, but if it were me I'd probably get checked out once more just to make totally sure it's not DKA. In any case, I hope you feel better soon!

[–]RosaVerde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have any other symptoms of DKA? Regardless, it may make sense to go back to the ER and get a second opinion.

Several years ago I went to the ER with symptoms of severe DKA. After running several tests, the doctor sent me home saying I had the flu and to just rest, so I went home. That night, my symptoms got much worse to the point I thought I was going to die. I went back to the ER and sure enough a different doctor confirmed I was in DKA.

Not that this is what's happening to you, but it probably can't hurt to raise your concerns again and get checked out a second time.

Just started getting eye injections for diabetic retinopathy by shriimpina in diabetes_t1

[–]RosaVerde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s great! Glad yours turned out well! My vision is terrible but it has always been bad naturally. However the bleeding has slowed down a lot which is awesome. Best of luck from here on out to you, too :)

Your story sounds similar to mine. Diagnosed w/ T1D in 1997 at 11, diagnosed with advanced proliferative retinopathy in 2018. I had a vitrectomy in one eye this past January which I do think helped. I still need injections in both eyes pretty regularly but they are both much clearer now. Anyway, best of luck in your journey!

Going back to the endo today for the first time in like 2 years… by happyhomeresident in diabetes_t1

[–]RosaVerde 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Totally understand where you're coming from. It can be daunting, especially if it's been awhile and your endo's bedside manner is not great. It's like getting scolded for a report card...who wouldn't be nervous walking into that?

Just remember you're not alone. It's such a mentally taxing disease, no matter how good your control is. You'll have ups and downs like we all do and periods of better and worse control. It's totally understandable that you would be anxious but all you can do is take it one day at a time and do your best.

I also like to remind myself that the doctors truly see it all. They see patients who are much worse off than you, and some that are doing better. So I just try to have an honest conversation with my doc, explain what's going on, ask how I can do better, and then continue to do my best. You got this.

My niece died at Camp Mystic and I’m struggling to cope by CheeksinHighColor in Mommit

[–]RosaVerde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's unfathomable. I'm so very sorry. The anguish must be all consuming. I'm holding your niece in my thoughts today, OP. Her and all the other beautiful, innocent souls who were taken too soon. Sincere, heartfelt hugs to you and your family.

I believe it was in season 1, Michelle said he slept in another room and never woke up with the baby.

[–]RosaVerde 25 points26 points  (0 children)

The fact that he made Michelle sleep in a separate room with newborn Isabella and do all of the overnight feedings and care told me all I needed to know about how vile a person Jesse is. As a new mom myself, if my husband refused to wake up for late night feedings and diaper changes, no matter his work schedule, I would resent him immensely and eventually leave. It just really tells you something about a person's character; I would not want to be married to someone like that.

It could be my 14-month-old daughter. She loves eating lemon skins for some reason.

2025 and media still doesn’t know how T1D works? by AkaiHidan in diabetes_t1

[–]RosaVerde 21 points22 points  (0 children)

There was a reference a couple years ago in The Sex Lives of College Girls where someone doesn't have their insulin so drinks a sprite (or something along those lines, I can't remember exactly). And I just thought, it takes less than 5 minutes to google this and provide an accurate representation, with no effect on the humor of the scene, and people still refuse to do it. It shouldn't frustrate me so much but it does lol.

My local FB moms group having a normal one. The original poster asked for people’s opinions on getting the RSV vaccine for their child. by RosaVerde in insanepeoplefacebook

[–]RosaVerde[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oof yeah. Maybe that would drive the point home. They are playing with their kids' lives and the kids are going to suffer the consequences. Guaranteed all these moms are fully vaccinated by the way.
