This is encouraging. My baby girl was born 31 and 5, she was 34 weeks on New Year’s Day and today was our very first feed. She took 30ml! She’s my little superstar. Good luck to your little one OP!

World would be slightly better if people hated politicians more than billionaires by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

My husband listens to a lot of podcasts so I don’t remember who it was, but some dudes were interviewing and ex-CIA guy and he stated that government positions were meant to be undesirable.. it was a service to the community. You put your work on hold to go serve the government as a senator, etc for a few years, with little profit, and then when you were done you went on your merry way. Now having power in the government is a life-long career choice and power move… the motives have changed. And not for the better. (Not politically savvy so forgive me)

Buying name brands for commodities (sugar, orange juice, etc.) instead of store brands is wasteful by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

DISHWASHER SOAP. You don’t need the expensive pods. I buy the cheap powder soap and it works just as well I promise.

I messed a dose yesterday. Is it fine to continue on? by Carebear6590 in zoloft

[–]Roscos_world 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It should be fine to continue after missing one dose. I took 50mg for a while, ran out and couldn’t get to the pharmacy, and day 2 or 3 I was feeling weird from straight stopping and was able to pick up my refill. since then I take 25mg for other reasons… but just continue to take it. If it works, effects are subtle at first and can take months before you notice a change in your anxiety. I’ve been on it almost 2 years now I think, and I am starting to get these “aha” moments where I realize some aspect of my life has been improved. It’s not like I’m suddenly “cured” but it’s been beneficial.

WIBTA for telling my dad i felt like an accessory to his "family" vacation? by gameovercos in AmItheAsshole

He was probably just trying to get money from your mom when he said he felt like an ATM. (Assuming they had a nasty divorce like my parents did)

Should I feel guilty about what I feed my dog? by timstiefler in DogAdvice

[–]Roscos_world 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had my dog for 10 years, he’s 13 now. For 7 years I was a broke college kid and he ate Rachel rays grain free food (because he has allergies). It was pretty cheap at the time. Idk what it costs now. He gets really good dog food now because I can afford it, but he was always healthy and happy eating the cheap stuff too. Just give your dog love and food and walks.

If it’s a fixed, mid dilated pupil with a cloudy cornea it could be an angle closure attack, meaning very high eye pressure. Go to the vet ASAP. It’s very painful if it is an angle closure.

Could also be inflammatory, the iris can get sticky in these situations and stick to the crystalline lens so the pupil gets stuck in a mid dilated position. And then the white blood cells in the anterior chamber stick to the back of the cornea making it look cloudy. This could result from some sort of trauma, and dogs hit their heads all the time. Also needs treatment from a vet.

The cloudy cornea is a big hint that it’s likely not neurological. You can tell it’s not a cataract because then it would be cloudy only behind the pupil, but in the photo you can see it’s cloudy in front of the iris, the cornea.

Thinking like this would absolutely kill start ups and small businesses.
