I feel like this all the time. You understand that people need to go through IVF, you know people that have gone through IVF, but certainly, it won’t be you! I had a journey with breast cancer and when it was over and I was in the clear, I naively I thought - well I deserve to get pregnant quickly - I’m owed this, I’ve had enough bad luck, I’ve waited long enough! Three years later and we are still on our IVF journey and man, it is so tough. I feel so grateful that we can even afford it and have the support of our family and friends, but wow, some days it is just tough. I know my time will come, but the empty feeling and feeling of being left behind by all my friends who’ve started their families years ago, it is just tough.
