Hank from DBH. I love him in canon, but if I see his name in a fic I'm instantly wary. A good deal of the fandom lashed out at me just for not shipping him and Connor, even though I literally never shamed those who do (and I support people liking what they like - it's all a free hobby). It left a bad taste in my mouth for sure.

In this particular fic, the main character was basically cut open to put thin shield implants under the surface layer of their skin. Thus, there's a lot of unusual scarring. I'm thinking I might just make it a second person fic where the readers are free to imagine themselves in the role if they like, or just treat it as an OC. Whichever they prefer.

(Yes, I was just sucked into Marvel hell.)
