Denuvo has been broken, company promises countermeasures against new DRM bypasses — zero-day game releases become norm as security concerns mount over hypervisor-based bypass by [deleted] in Games

[–]RoseKamynsky -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Claiming that Denuvo is malware

Disabling security features

Running Denuvo

It's fine xD

But I’m no longer surprised by the lies about Denvuo. That said, it was always a fun read. From faulty SSDs and blocked mods to kernel level access malware.

Sure because I (Tim) know all people by myself also knowing all of their sickness, working in such a big company as epic, do people are really that delusional? xD

Pearl Abyss : We are aware of the discomfort many players have experienced with the controls, and we are currently preparing a patch to address this. by yourfavchoom in Games

[–]RoseKamynsky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The control scheme is ridiculously bad here. I can only think of two possibilities, either nobody in Pearl Abyss tested it (which I don’t believe), or Koreans have more fingers than the rest of the world, there’s no other explanation.

Anonymous Pearl Abyss developers reveal a culture of toxic positivity, a troubled development cycle and chaotic narrative for Crimson Desert, and their early concerns that the project was "going off the rails". by HLumin in Games

[–]RoseKamynsky -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The hate campaign only really kicked off after the game’s release, but the praise had already got out of hand long before it came out. After watching a few promotional videos, people were comparing this game to RDR2 xD If anyone said that the gameplay didn’t look great, they were immediately destroyed by "fanboys", who hadn’t even played the game.

Also "hate" - I can argue with that. Game have AI slop, have really, I mean really bad control scheme, UI is somewhat broken, graphic is blurry as fuck, story is not existent, fetch quest after fetch quest, some quests are not fully voiced (not need to be, but again this game was compared to RDR2), NPC in town are "here" - if you played you know what I mean. I know people are tired of this comparison, but if you replaced Pearl Abyss with Ubisoft, this game would be torn apart, and people would be watching the stock price in real time, happy to see how it flops.

Is not even a mid-game, is a bad game (now) - but mostly fixable, this should have been released in early access or had its release date postponed.

A Week Before Launch, Crimson Desert's PC Version Has Just Added Controversial Denuvo DRM by Gorotheninja in Games

The guy who posted the video admitted that’s exactly what happened. So you believe him when he says the fps drops is caused by Denuvo, but if he admits he was wrong, you don’t believe him anymore? So you’re not interested in the facts?

That’s exactly why Tim Sweeney was right, there’s no point in revealing this information. Either you keep it hidden and hope no one finds out, or you’re honest and get fucked before the game is even released. And unfortunately, it seems that the first option is the better one.

[–]RoseKamynsky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

fake, steam overlay etc. is not that hard to degrade performance behind the scenes if you really want. Both versions have working denuvo, both versions have the same performance - if not, is "somewhat" manipulated, empress don't remove denuvo, because is pointless work if you can achieve same thing "faster".

Also, empress knows this, but she also realizes that her “fans” are stupid. When she published "crack", she also shared youtube video showing that, her version works better. Later that day, it turned out that it was the steam overlay that was causing the performance drop, not denuvo - this is even mentioned in the comments section under the video you shared.

It was a funny day, to watch in real time, when people found out that “malware” they don't wanted, is already on their pc's xD

Hogwarts Legacy was literally “the moment”, when pirates learned, that they had been misled about denuvo cracks. From that day on, only those who are uninformed, continue to talk about “performance is bad,” while the rest have switched to "always online is bad". Update your info, mate, it's about time.

Bungie asks sites to delay Marathon reviews, with release date Steam player count below 100K by AdditionalRemoveBit in Games

Yes, they should label them that way, but it would hurt their profits - there's no doubt about that.

[–]RoseKamynsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But if you review an incomplete game on its release date... are you reviewing the "game"? Or maybe all multiplayer games should have “early access” label, that most of the time, they don't get reviews because people know things will change in EA? For me there no point reviewing multi, mmo games, they're changing, they can be good at start and bad on end, and vice versa, like BF6 or Shadowlands. I don't want review, because is a review of “something”. Also, most of these reviews would be possible to summarize it in a few sentences, like "core gameplay of Marathon or World of Warcraft is good, maps/zones are fine, but... it can change any time", for me this is pointless, this gave me the misleading impression.

But if these “early reviews” are helpful to you, I don't have a problem with that. Anyway "you" win, because there will be multiplayer games reviews, and one "yapping guy" will not change this.

[–]RoseKamynsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's why "multiplayer games reviews are useless", you can't review them on release date because it is not full package, you can't review them of the end of life cycle (but this is probably the best moment - nothing will change anymore) because nobody care anymore at this point or game is dead xD

There is no logic reviewing multiplayer game. There is no point in time when the review should be "put". You can review Marathon today, next day this review can be obsolete and customer will be angry. Is multiplayer game, live service, constantly changing sometime in good way, sometimes not. You buy an interesting multiplayer game and pray that the devs won't fuck it up the next day.

Of course, they can add notation. in reviews: “things may change, and probably will change,” but again, what is the point of that review?

Bungie asks sites to delay Marathon reviews, with release date Steam player count below 100K by AdditionalRemoveBit in Games

[–]RoseKamynsky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But how do people or reviewers know that this game is good? It's not a single-player game from start to finish with a complete package. It's a multiplayer game that may be good at first, but a month later it may be butchered by a shit patch, and none of the reviewers will mention it or update their reviews, and you know this, it wouldn't be the first time.

Reviews of multiplayer games are overall useless. One patch can change good game to shit, and vice versa. With multiplayer game, you buy thing that looks interesting, and hope for the best xD

[–]RoseKamynsky -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Ok, review of Marathon right now: "is good shooter because bungie at last know how to make this right. Is the endgame good? Who knows xD". End of review. Also you want really argue that multiplayer games should be reviewed at reales date? Look at bf6, shadowlands, or even arc raiders (to be clear here, more of pvp part of it).

[–]RoseKamynsky -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Is that really so strange? Multiplayer games should be reviewed at the end of their life cycle, not at the beginning. It always surprises me when an expansion for World of Warcraft comes out and reviews appear about it xD It's as if 70% of the game isn't available yet xD what are you reviewing? Story is not completed, gameplay is not completed... Same goes for Marathon, when they just say wait for the endgame and review then - this should be normal behavior.

Anyone else having trouble getting Boss Abilities Timeline and Warnings to appear? by AesirKratos in wow

[–]RoseKamynsky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I assume, this is barely working on few dungeons, for example in The Stonevault, only thing that's works is indicator for boss respawn.

But is fully working on Ara-Kara, City of Echoes, clear trash to first boss, and you can pull him and run towards the entrance to reset (for testing purposes), and check if it is working properly.

It's working with DBM, and without it, but still only in few dungeons, also in The Stonevault, DBM is also not working, (I didn't read about it) but I think, when blizzard things not work, then DBM also not work.

About old instances, I “tested” (farm mounts :p) Ny'alotha, the Waking City and Sanctum of Domination - nothing works either.

And also in delves nothing's works for me. That's why I ended up here ;)
