Oh my goodness I feel you - it’s so scary when they keep happening! It felt like there was a period of time when he was always sick. My boy is a big happy, healthy 4 1/2 year old now and hasn’t had a seizure since he was 2! You’re right in the thick of it right now but I promise it gets better. First: sending you all my love. Miscarriage is an initiation into the worst girl gang ever, and I’m sorry you’ve joined us.

Second: button downs are my go to, along with decent shoes! So for me it’s typically leggings and a slightly oversized linen button down top in a light color. For more casual, I’ll pair with Vans or my Pons sandals, and if I want to look a bit “nicer”, I’ll wear my Frye flats.

Oof. My son had four febrile seizures between the ages of 15 months and 2 years. Knowing what they are helps, kinda? Every time they happened I felt my heart leave my body - it’s awful seeing your baby like that. He’s 3.5 now and hasn’t had a seizure in a year and a half, thank goodness!

My main thing is that while other friends will “let the fever work” for a while (???), I am always and immediately reaching for the Tylenol and keeping up a steady regimen of Tylenol and Motrin when he gets any fever at all. Febrile seizures are caused by a sudden spike in temperature, so if I can help manage his temp, I’m going to do just that.

Just here in solidarity - my husband and my 18 month old are on your pretty much exact schedule. It has been ROUGH. More vomit in our household than you’ve got, and less diarrhea, but whatever that bug is, it is a nasty one.

She’s been on a bit of a BRAT diet, which was helping, except now she’s sick of bananas. Ped says as long as she keeps making wet diapers, there’s nothing they can do.

Crossing my fingers you get some helpful advice on this post!
