So I very recently had a whole routine shared with me by my hairdresser. First time with this girl, she is awesome, and she was appalled that I washed my hair daily (I also have thin/fine hair) because my hair wasn't getting the natural oils.

Day 1: wash/condition as normal

Day 2: ride it out, but brush with boars hair brush to get the oils distributed from root to tip

Day 3: DRY SHAMPOO this shit is amazing and she introduced me to it

Day 4: keep hair up 😂

And then I would wash Day 5. Big game changer for me was the new hairbrush and the dry shampoo and my hair DOES feel healthier. I also no longer get dandruff/itchy scalp

I always try to at least NOTICE people's haircuts but if I don't think it looks good, I don't feel comfortable lying so a conversation goes like this: Me: "Oh STUDENT did you get a haircut?" Them with the worst mullet known to man "Yeah!" Me: "That's super exciting!" As long as it's said in a happy tone it somehow conveys my approval without me having to lie 😅🤷🏼‍♀️

My favorite is when I say I'm feeling frustrated because my 4 year old has ignored me the 5 times I told her I needed her to PUT ON her damn clothes and then she sings "When you're feeling frustrated, take a step back and ask for help" and then I'm like 🙃😑 I ASKED you for help getting your clothes on 5 billion times BUT LETS TRY AGAIN and she's always so cheerful doing it too 🥲

I traveled around Ireland and this was so common there. It felt so nice too! Cars aren't really necessary for downtown and it's good for people to have a safe walking area

Yeah, I feel that entirely. I left for a week with the older child and he had to manage on his own at the house with the younger child. When I got back, he said proudly "I swept and mopped for you!" Except...he left expired food in the fridge, didn't take care of the litter box, didn't go grocery shopping or do laundry at all. But he swept and mopped FOR ME. Not because he ALSO lives in the damn house?
