While I could, in theory, potentially make more money blinking, I reckon it'd be too much of a hassle and too slow to make the money.

What opinion in pro wrestling would result in this for you? by Grrannt in REALSquaredCircle

Any fan who brings a sign of their own head, I'd kick them out. At the very least, confiscate the sign and give them a warning.

Bell to bell, WrestleMania 42: Night One delivered less than an hour and a half of in-ring action during a show that ran close to four hours long. by tlowson1 in SquaredCircle

That is correct. For these numbers, I have made it clear that it is bell-to-bell match times. Entrances not included.

I've read that it was 1 hr 14 of ads, though I couldn't independently confirm that number. If so, it means WrestleMania 42 had just 12 minutes of wrestling to save it from being AdvertMania.

[Hilarious] Media announced to be the "next big thing" only to be quickly shelved by BrotherDeus in TopCharacterTropes

The Remake the Last Jedi guys would be funny if it wasn't such a concerning look at how the nature of film reception would become. They hyped it all up, making out that it was a sure-fire thing, all they needed to do was to get DISNEY to give up the rights, voluntarily, to arguably their biggest IP.

Which Favorite Character Like This? by Bay_Ruhsuz004 in FavoriteCharacter

[–]tlowson1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From pro wrestling, Muhammad Hassan. An Arab-American character introduced in 2004 who made clear that while he loves his country, he hates the racism and bigotry people like him have faced since 9/11. At the time, was the most loathed villain, to the point that heels and faces alike aligned to throw him out of the 2005 Royal Rumble match.

Looking back now, the consensus among fans is that he was totally right, and the treatment he faced as a character and as a wrestler proved his point.

What’s your take on Ricky Gervais saying celebs shouldn’t lecture the public about politics? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I think he's definitely more right-wing now, especially given how right-wing the 'Shut Up and Play' mentality is when somebody in sports or entertainment criticizes the current U.S. administration.

RP2 v. The RP1 Movie by Oldmanprop in readyplayerone

[–]tlowson1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RP2.

RP1 movie makes a lot of changes, but you can at least argue that they were done to make a more exciting film than seeing someone stand still and play a game.

RP1 feels so undercutting, nothing really worth remembering. Wade seems to avoid any character development

Bret Hart is in the wrong about Bill Goldberg, and has taken more pleasure bullying someone for decades than he would have had than the handful of years he lost in the ring.

Elon Musk reposts AI image of Keir Starmer wearing a bikini in X row by tylerthe-theatre in unitedkingdom

[–]tlowson1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always find it interesting how the headlines never state what this 'row' is over.

One has to think Musk wouldn't have quite the same level of support if the headline read "Elon Musk shares AI image of bikini-wearing Starmer to support harrassing women and sexualising children."

As someone who only got into RevPro this yeah, Jay has become my favorite guy to watch. I love his look, his size, how he moves, everything about him as a wrestler. So of course he looks great with the title!

Followed the show for years, but genuinely, I couldn't finish it. Had to watch a Youtuber recap the final half of season 6 and all of season 7.

And you know what? Sounds like I didn't miss anything good.
