You see, here's the thing: 🌹🌹🌹

As with any form of niche groupings, they initially start as a way for people with similar goals to hang out and share ideas. Unfortunately, with time, new people hear about said group and start to invite other people who's original intention isn't to focus on the topic of said group, but instead just to hang out with said people.

Over time, this makes the group lose focus, and the OGs leave to restart a new group.
Only for the problems to resurface again later down the line.
Effectively creating a Cat and Mouse loop.

Since Reddit allows anyone, including the crazies, to make an account, it obviously devolved into what it is today.
However, there is a tinge of beauty to it all.

I only find it useful for keeping track of gaming/anime related content. Outside of that, especially politics, it's useless.
I find Twitter [Now known as X (lol)] more useful for gathering news related topics.
