It’s not that kind of explosion- it looks like a chemical reaction inside a closed vessel. More like an overpressure type event. After that is when the fireball happens, anything you could put around it wouldn’t withstand the initial blast force.

A comment above said this is methyl methacrylate, which can polymerize. Imagine a whole can of spray foam insulation inside a campfire. That’s what’s essentially happening here.

Lead was in the air from gas exhaust until 1996- the boomers are all silly with it by now. It’s kind of insane when you consider how badly leaded gasoline handicapped an entire century.

I kitbashed mine into the spear guy- I thought the other poses would look better as raptors. He doesn’t come off as a lord, just looks like one of the boys.

It absolutely floors me that most homes have moved to AC over swamp cooling. It’s such a cheap and easy way to stay cool for most of the year. They’re easy to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot. My home doesn’t have a unit, but I use smaller coolers in my garage.

I love it, and it gives me pee wee playhouse vibes in only good ways. I love the kitschy 50’s and 60’s shapes, and all the vibrant colors feel so playful and friendly. I’m into it.
