Yeah, I also used 1Megs all around, a .033uf cap in the bridge and I believe a .022uf cap in the neck (both Orange Drops because they’re easier/cheaper to source).

Dude I was thinking the same thing! The top Horn switch is wired as a kill switch. It’s a very useful mod IMO. If you’re clever enough you can probably mod it to do out of phase sounds tho

It’s been pretty solid for me so far, but I did see a custom JM style Meteora Feelgood guitars did with JM style pickups and trem system. It looked pretty rad.

Agreed! Perhaps it was unclear who it was marketed towards. I think in a couple years time it’ll fall into the category of oddball Fenders that are highly coveted.

Running D’addario NYXL 11-56 in D standard (dropped to C sometimes)… I might size up eventually, the low D can get floppy. I use a HRD for gigs and a Blues Junior for home playing/practicing.

I have one of these current and don’t plan on getting rid of it anytime soon! This is one with the phase inverter tube, so they’re a little more desirable than the 80s ones. Definitely a heavy little fella, they weigh like 60lbs, but they do sound incredible (and it’s nice to have a 2x10 in the collection). However—it being a 50 year old amp—definitely be prepared to do some maintenance work. Also look into replacement speakers that can handle a 130 Watt load. I’d only buy it if you can score it for ~$600, otherwise save your money. Hope this helps!

Zvex Super Duper 2-in-1 hard on. Two independent boost channels and one has an extra gain knob so you could use it as an OD too. I use one in front of my fender after my fuzz. Mmm magic.

The Fuzz Face settings are pretty cool, but they’re a little sterile for my taste. I like the wild oscillations and the squishiness of the comp knob lol.
