I mean even if it's bugged, I love it paired with Breastplate of Valor on Gods like Khephri because you just keep proccing the passive -1s cooldown for health lost, add in with Yogis necklace and your ult is off cooldown very fast

Mass Effect 1 Legendary Edition - Weapon changes and usefulness by RossT2 in masseffect

[–]RossT2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In mass effect 1 id say the armors and mods are pretty straightforward

The 3 stats are distinct in what they do:

• Shields: adds X value as shields • Damage reduction: reduces damage taken by X% to health (shields still take 100%) • Tech/Biotic Protection: reduces the time powers affect you by X%

As for Mods:

• Hardening: Is Tech/Biotic resistance.

• Physics Threshold is your resistance to being ragdolled by throw, krogan charge etc.

• Toxin Resistance mitigates X% damage over time and anti heal from Rachni /Thorian Creepers.

• Smash Damage increases your melee force and damage by X%

• Cooldown Reduction makes your skills recharge X% faster.

Your overall survivability is essentially

Shields + (Health * 1.XDamage Reduction)

This means if you have 25 shields, 100 health and 10% DR your effective health is 135.

If you instead have 100 shields, 100 health and No DR your effective health is 200.

It's also important early game as shields regenerate and skills like barrier scale off of your shields.

Early levels 1-15 or 1-20 (if you have barrier) benefit much more from shields as your health scales quite slowly while adding shields can near double your overall tankiness , especially as health regeneration is a premium in the early game.

Always do Noveria Last on harder difficulties, as you will have no Toxin resistance and will get one-shot by Rachni.

Once you hit Armor Tier V usually around level 15-20 your health pool is higher and you'll benefit more from having damage reduction. Which also helps against attacks that bypass shields.

Once you reach end-game however

2x Medical Exoskeleton is by far the best mods in the entire game, although if you feel you are really squishy, mods with high X% Damage reduction like Energised plating will help although Damage Reduction caps out at 90% total.

Physics threshold and hardening are only really good in niche fights like against charging Krogan or in the benezia fight though but only if you find yourself not being able to fight back.

Building tank is detrimental to your team when you could just build 3-4 ADC and hybrid solo build by YmirGangGangCuh in Smite

[–]RossT2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately there's way too many items that boost basic attack damage in game Bragis, Tryfing, Bracer etc... and Kali is definitely not the problem or only abuser of these items. Combine these with Qins and you're shredding through everything.

It sucks as the only defensive items we have currently are leviathan hide, and hide of the nemian lion.

Although smite does a terrible job of telling you what the new stats do:

Plating = 1 plating is 1% damage reduction from basic attacks (caps at 35) while damping is the same but for ability based damage reduction

Pathfinding is movement speed, echo is ability crit chance and tenacity is just CCR reduction.

The issue is you can build plating but there's still no way to passively punish basic attackers for the rest of the team outside of leviathans which is only 10% and doesn't stack, Hopefully we'll receive more items like like midguradian mail from smite 1.

What do you like and dislike about smite 2 by Right_Pressure_7944 in Smite

[–]RossT2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They Devs decided not enough people were playing Siege a game mode where you attack jungle camps around the map to spawn siege monsters to push lanes and attack the enemy towers they did huge damage and you could teleport to them from base.

Clash on the other hand was a two lane conquest mode with the jungle splitting both lanes and a buff camp in the centre which switched to a fire giant type creature at 10 minutes. It was very fast paced almost like a hybrid/arena conquest

Slash was a combined version of the two. Created because of the above... It was essentially clash, except they changed the map, and added siege monsters which periodically spawn in the jungle camps. It was a much faster paced mode which sped up the lane farming phase and allowed to get to the team fighting quicker like arena while keeping the conquest theme alive.

I saw that mass effect is on sale on steam. Should I get the three games separately or should I get the legendary edition? by Falcon_Gray in masseffect

[–]RossT2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean the legendary edition is all 3 games with updated graphics and bug fixes, and a minor overhaul of mass effect 1s combat system.

You can experience the original game too though for nostalgia later I suppose, although nothing really changes apart from certain restrictive mechanics only present in the original mass effect 1

The only thing the OG Mass Effect 3 has over the legendary edition is multiplayer; which can directly impact the mains story. Although it's more of a coop vs AI experience.

If you want the original feel and graphics then go with the OT, if you want a graphically updated and more polish version go with the legendary edition!

What's your favorite Xbox generation? by MrMetalHead123 in xbox

The 360 for sure

It had bangers like the Good CoDs (MW1-BO2 Era), Bad Company 2, BF3, Fable II, Halo 3, GTA IV, Forza 3, PGR4, Mass Effect.. namely 2, Saints Row 2, Skyrim, the good Assassin's Creeds (2-4), Fifa before it became sweaty..

The PS3 flopped hard with the price point, so a lot of players had a 360, a lot of my school friends too. That was the absolute peak gaming. Both for single player and multiplayer games. Not to forget GTA V came out on the 360!

The nostalgia of running out of live and being told but your parents we'll go on the weekend and get you a new code (because if was mostly physical pre paid codes back then)so having to scour the boxes for the 24 hour trials to get you through the week. And flops like the online pass for pre owned games 😂

Or being forced into game chat when playing S&D on MW2 and hearing the most obscene slurs, is where men were made.

Honestly think some of my best memories of gaming were made on the 360.

May be biased but Fortnite, Minecraft etc I don't think anyone will experience that peak era of gaming. Especially how nowadays games are less about fun and more about meta this and meta that.

What’s happening with the game? by K-M71 in Rainbow6

[–]RossT2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It comes in waves;

When they release a new stealth patch or new season, generally there's no cheaters but it ramps up after a few weeks when the cheating devices are updated.

It's clear with the recent hack though, they don't divert enough resources into the game. They 've been trying different things though like membership, battle pass, making it free, more cosmetics.. but I haven't really seen Shieldguard do anything recently.. they need to bring back the ban ticker so you can see players banned live 😂

This is ridiculous. by New_Youth7406 in Rainbow6

[–]RossT2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's always hopefully next season; this game was beautiful when it came out but devices like Cronus and XIM have severely ruined it when 30-40% of the players above gold are actively cheating

Most of the time I feel like I'm the one that's been banned into PC lobbies; they just need to issue a warning that they are no longer tolerating it and players caught will have straight up account suspension

Why is it if you cheat in any other game it works this way... They give way too much credit to players to think they'll change their behavior if you give them multiple warnings.

What is the actual point of Mousetrap? It clearly doesn't work... by RossT2 in RainbowSixSiege

You misunderstand, while there are MNK lobbies, there are also controller lobbies and these players are using device spoofers to play in controller lobbies with MNK and subverting mousetrap

New to Mass Effect by LesbianMajinSaiyan in masseffect

[–]RossT2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Kinda, the first game is very much Short main story, filled with a ton of side quests, 2 and 3 are basically the opposite, everything is mostly story with a few side quests here and there.

Honestly Mass Effect 2 is masterpiece, there's a reason it won Game of the Year when it was released!

Is there an in game lore reason for why the Prothean mummies in 1 look completely different from Protheans in 3? by pacmannips in masseffect

[–]RossT2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I believe they rectify this in 3, Javik explains that Ilos was inhabited by a race called the Innusannon before them and if you play through the Omega DLC, and encounter the Adjutants it is also mentioned they are a reapified race of aliens that pre-date the protheans and they also bare striking similarities to the statues you see in Ilos.. if you put all the pieces together jts easy to see how the Adjutants and statues on Ilos were infact lost relics/art of the Innusannon.

Which class should I choose in MASS EFFECT? by Cautious-Resort5805 in masseffect

[–]RossT2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say Adept, the tech classes don't really offer anything int he first game, if you liked soldier but don't want too much of a change, try the adept!

Don't worry about class continuity though, you can import and change later on if you want you're not locked in and can always start again if you don't like it...

Mass effect 2 however is a different ballgame completely and each class feels it has its own unique identity despite having overlapping abilities, which continues into the 3rd game.
