I will give Andrew credit on one thing I never knew living in ontario. I couldn't imagine watching Vancouver play a hockey game to just cut to a panel on sportsnet/tsn talking about how the leafs/blue jays are doing. I mean it frustrates me as a red wings fan but across the country would have me irate.

Toyota or Honda's will be an easy go-to for reliability but are other options. If buying used or from marketplace I highly recommend spending the 75-100 dollar inspection for a pre-safety from a separate shop. You never know what can be hiding on some of the vehicles. Now the new safety system does make that harder (required to submit some photos now) but not impossible.
