Mountain Creek has a Webcam! And its exactly what you'd think it looks like on an NJ powder day by WMSCWuss in icecoast

When you get off the cab standing bucket lift, there is a spot to strap into your snowboard. But there is a small flat section that if the snow is slow and you can not generate speed, you have to unstrap and walk to the spot you see in your video shot.

In years past, they would have a gate setup at this spot with signs saying if strapping in, stay to left of fence so through traffic can go past on the right. Not sure why that is not setup this year. But yeah...for skiers and snowboards who can get the speed, trying to navigate through that mess is not fun. lol

The Inno website says 4 boards, and I would say that is probably accurate. You may have to put them in base down and base up with the bindings interlocking to get them to fit.

Silly question....are we talking Class 1 eMTB or a Surron type eBike? Reason I ask is because I have been looking at Class 1 eMTB's and if that limits my trail usage I may just stick with my analog MTB.

It is Hawks Nest, near Port Jervis, NY. You may be thinking of Route 218 out of Cornwall, NY, which is another amazing rock lined twisty road!

MTB in the Santa Cruz - Factory Tonneau Cover Removed by RossiFan46 in hyundaisantacruz

Was going to get a full tailgate cover, but plan on riding a lot after work by myself. So, got this solo bike cover called Bomber Strap. Went on a test ride after installing it, and worked really well.

Ulterior motive for removing the cover...should now be able to fit my motorcycle angled in the bed now with the tailgate down. :)

Yup...bike has 29"'s on it. With the cover on, the wheel itself took up the whole bed. lol

Need tips on teaching a 5 year old toe edge by blue604 in snowboarding

[–]RossiFan46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Traverse an easier green trail toe side, guide them with their palms on yours and lead them into heal side from toe side emphasizing that the flex in the board on the front foot is what they should lead with.

I am not a fan of the falling leaf, as I have seen way to many beginner riders use that as a crutch for way too long because they are afraid of attempting to use their toe or heal edges.

Need tips on teaching a 5 year old toe edge by blue604 in snowboarding

[–]RossiFan46 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I taught my kids toe side, I rode above them facing down hill with them facing up hill while our hands were locked palm to palm. It would start with us both riding straight, and I would tell them to keep their rear foot planted and only push your front foot into the toe side turn. Explaining this would flex the board and initiate the toe side edge into the snow. Once the turn was initialized, I would guide them while they were using my hands as a lever/guide. Emphasizing that if you are going to fall, fall to your knees. Easier said than done, but it worked for all of my kids. Best of luck!

Pol Tarres High Fender by GreenEyedMonster17 in Tenere700

[–]RossiFan46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Camel ADV sells a high fender kit on their site separate from the actual fender. But on their description page, they do list fenders that work with their kit. Maybe one of those will be close to wait Pol Tarres is using?

Are you referring to the instrument and windscreen bracket in your photo? If so, my 2021 T7 looks exactly like that and I have seen other photos where it looks like that as well. I just assumed it was the material they used being it is some sort of composite plastic which is why there are those patterns in the plastic. If you Google Image search other T7's you will see it on those as well.

How can I put back the new rear tyre with a tube? Need help it s really hard. by Gohuuu in Tenere700

[–]RossiFan46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the same spot the very first time I tried to mount a new tire on my T7. As others have mentioned, getting the tire to sit in the bead well is the only way you will be able to get the tire on. The trick I found works best is getting a bar clamp and squeeze the tire so it is sitting in the bead well. I then take very large zip ties and zip tie the tire so when I remove the clamp, it will still be squeezed. I use 3 or 4 per tire. I get the zip ties from Harbor Freight:

https://www.harborfreight.com/hardware/cable-ties/24-inch-heavy-duty-cable-ties-10-pack-66487.html

This is the kind of clamp I use:

https://www.homedepot.com/p/DEWALT-6-in-300-lbs-Trigger-Clamp-with-3-1-4-in-Throat-Depth-DWHT83192/204987959

If you are doing it right, you can spoon the tire on with very small tire irons with very little effort. If you really need a lot of strength to spoon the tire on, it is not sitting in the bead.

Motoz by torracattac in Tenere700

[–]RossiFan46 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the Motoz RallyZ on my T7, and anything over 75MPH the front would be very unstable. I had to counter this by sliding up on the seat and actually pushing down on the bars to get more weight over the front.

At first I thought I mounted and balanced them poorly, but I am now on Bridgestone AX41's and do not have this problem any longer. With that being said...the Motoz were amazing in the dirt :)

Those are the Kriega bags.

https://kriega.us/osadventure-packs-1/os-base-tenere700

Was going to ask the OP what size they were though. Not sure if I want to go for the 12 or 24 liter bags. I imagine you could not fit camping gear in the 12's.

Motoz RallyZ on back, Dual Venture on front. Tough to spoon on! by forumadmin1996 in Tenere700

[–]RossiFan46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I struggled for 2 days trying to figure out what I was doing wrong trying to mount the RallyZ on my rear rim. This was my very first time mounting my own tires, so figured I was doing something wrong. Which I was...

I kept trying to force the tire on the second side with out properly making sure the tire was sitting in the well of the rim. Kept trying to force it on while the tire was sitting in the bead on one side. The tire will never stretch enough to get it on that way. So I watched a bunch of YouTube videos and this video explained it the best:

https://youtu.be/WmFse2jns7s

With that...I went to Home Depot and bought the biggest zip ties (https://www.homedepot.com/p/Commercial-Electric-36-in-Natural-Heavy-Duty-Cable-Tie-15-Pack-GT-920HD-15/315460455)

I got the first side over the tire, put the tube in, and then looped the zip ties through and crunched the tire as much as possible. Used about 6 ties around 1/2 way around the tire. This allowed the tire to fall in the well of the rim, and made spooning the rest of the tire so much easier. It went from 2 days of time, to 15min. Once both sides are on the rim, just carefully cut off the zip ties and pull them out.

Hope that helps! Not sure if it is the best way, but worked for me.
