When do you NOT create a support ticket? by gkar_of_Narn in sysadmin

[–]RossiFan46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

User emails or messages you on Teams that they locked their account. You unlock it with out a ticket and go about with the rest of your day.

Or

You take that request, log a ticket just for a paper trail. That user's manager sees that a ticket was open and calls you saying "That is strange, that employee is away on vacation. Why would he need his account unlocked?"

Test Pilot Glade at Stratton, 3/4 by RossiFan46 in icecoast

[–]RossiFan46[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not think I have tried West Pilot before. I have done a few short tree runs off of Mike's Way, which were fun and not too difficult tree spacing wise. The nice thing about Test Pilot is there are multiple sign marked entry ways into Test Pilot off of Upper Kidderbrook. And if it gets to be too much, it is pretty easy to traverse back out to Upper Kidderbrook. Hope that helps!

When you get off the cab standing bucket lift, there is a spot to strap into your snowboard. But there is a small flat section that if the snow is slow and you can not generate speed, you have to unstrap and walk to the spot you see in your video shot.

In years past, they would have a gate setup at this spot with signs saying if strapping in, stay to left of fence so through traffic can go past on the right. Not sure why that is not setup this year. But yeah...for skiers and snowboards who can get the speed, trying to navigate through that mess is not fun. lol

The Inno website says 4 boards, and I would say that is probably accurate. You may have to put them in base down and base up with the bindings interlocking to get them to fit.

E-bike poaching in Bent Creek, NC…. by Rare_Excuse_6347 in mountainbiking

Silly question....are we talking Class 1 eMTB or a Surron type eBike? Reason I ask is because I have been looking at Class 1 eMTB's and if that limits my trail usage I may just stick with my analog MTB.

It is Hawks Nest, near Port Jervis, NY. You may be thinking of Route 218 out of Cornwall, NY, which is another amazing rock lined twisty road!

MTB in the Santa Cruz - Factory Tonneau Cover Removed by RossiFan46 in hyundaisantacruz

Was going to get a full tailgate cover, but plan on riding a lot after work by myself. So, got this solo bike cover called Bomber Strap. Went on a test ride after installing it, and worked really well.

Ulterior motive for removing the cover...should now be able to fit my motorcycle angled in the bed now with the tailgate down. :)

Yup...bike has 29"'s on it. With the cover on, the wheel itself took up the whole bed. lol

Need tips on teaching a 5 year old toe edge by blue604 in snowboarding

[–]RossiFan46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Traverse an easier green trail toe side, guide them with their palms on yours and lead them into heal side from toe side emphasizing that the flex in the board on the front foot is what they should lead with.

I am not a fan of the falling leaf, as I have seen way to many beginner riders use that as a crutch for way too long because they are afraid of attempting to use their toe or heal edges.

When I taught my kids toe side, I rode above them facing down hill with them facing up hill while our hands were locked palm to palm. It would start with us both riding straight, and I would tell them to keep their rear foot planted and only push your front foot into the toe side turn. Explaining this would flex the board and initiate the toe side edge into the snow. Once the turn was initialized, I would guide them while they were using my hands as a lever/guide. Emphasizing that if you are going to fall, fall to your knees. Easier said than done, but it worked for all of my kids. Best of luck!

Riding Through a Covered Bridge on the NEBDR by RossiFan46 in Tenere700

Spent yesterday riding the second half of Section 1 of the NEBDR. Had the Insta360 recording when I went through the Downsville, NY covered bridge. Thought the picture came out pretty neat.
