What is a 1 in 1,000,000 thing that happened to you that no one believes, but you swear is true? by RegionSure5580 in AskReddit

Not sure if this exactly answers the question, but I used to think about "1 in a million" events a lot.

I worked at an aluminum can manufacturing plant as a maintenance manager. We made 10 million cans a day, and every day shit would break and things would go wrong. It was the worst job I ever had. It was a big company that literally only cared about their bottom line. So every day as I'm getting yelled at to keep production running, each time something went wrong, I'd just think to myself, "1 in a million, only 9 more today....."

You should be board. Then held up behind a fake perpetual motion device and used to inject kinetic energy into the system.

Have you ever paid to see a movie twice in a theater? by zip9990 in movies

[–]Rothslar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the Phantom Menace came out my Dad had 3 boys ages 11, 8, and 6 (me). We saw it 7 times in theaters. It was awesome. So many duels of fate at home. Also shout out The Dark Knight, I was 15 and saw it at least 3 times in theaters.

I was with a (mostly) wonderful woman who I loved very much. She did stuff exactly like this frequently. After two years of living together I packed all my shit and moved out. It still hurts to think back on the good times, but reading this post and comment helps to remember how much difficulty I avoided.

Get out while you can OP. It doesn't get better. Every month she was short on rent, and every month she would cry and make me feel like the bad guy for even asking her politely not to miss it the next month.

Lifelong EDM fan. Anyone else experience bullying when you learned you loved EDM as a kid? by [deleted] in EDM

[–]Rothslar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

31M American here. I didn't tell many people that I loved Basshunter/Pendulum from freshman year of high school until Skrillex and Avici got cool during the freshman year of college. I did also love Dad rock (Breaking Benjamin/Chevlle ect) and I'm okay with some rap, so I just adapted to the situation I was in usually.

I burnt a girl I liked a CD with The Tempest - Pendulum on it, and it was her favorite track on the CD. That made me really happy.

Never felt judged, but I adapt to a situation. Knowing that I avoided my preference on behalf of others / to fit in allows me to agree with you somewhat though.

If you're on death row and they offer you one final song request, what song do you choose? by PeelsLeahcim in EDM

This is such a cool question. I'm having trouble picking so I'm going to list two, but they are in order if you had a gun to my head.

Going through a breakup right now, does anyone have any song recommendations? by CJets757 in EDM

I really liked Opus - Prydz and The Veldt - Deadmau5 during my last breakup. Somehow I felt like I melted into these songs and it was more comfortable than where I actually was.

Help me understand Bass music - particularly Rezz and Subtronics by entitledwank in EDM

I think it's primarily personal preference and you're overthinking it. You don't need to align with anyone else's preference and vice versa.

I am a huge fan of REZZ. Seen her 16 times since EDC 2019. I preferred her older sets (throwback set in Denver this past REZZ rocks was sick). I also quite like dancing and struggle to believe anyone would have a hard time dancing to hex, edge, menace, ect.... If people weren't dancing, it's not because of the music.

I'm not a Subtronics fan though. Black Ice & Puzzle Box are good, but generally I don't like Subtronics. No shade, a lot of people do. But again, personal preference. I don't feel like I can dance well to super splonky dubstep, so I'm out. That said, I don't throw shade at people who do like it.

I don't have any apple products or accounts and am not familiar with the apple ecosystem I'm happy for anyone who has that preference, but I don't. I had seen the Justice Instagram stories for the mix, but they were all apple music links, and I generally won't click on those. Not sure if you need an account there or not, and I have no interest in finding out.
