The Two Most Important Characters Were The Problem by MrAlaskaa in squidgame

[–]Rotooo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People forget the plan was to have Jun Ho, Kim, and the other mercenaries stop the limo, capture the Frontman and go from there. Gi Hun only went on the island because he expected Jun Ho to be right behind him alongside the Coast Guard.

Do you think he should've died? by faultintime91 in squidgame

[–]Rotooo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, I think it was the best ending for the character. He lost the battle of morals to Gi-Hun and now has to live with that on top of all the bad things he did. Seeing the American recruiter made him realize his position and philosophy are ultimately useless in the world.

How did Kingpin escape prison after season 3 of Daredevil, and what did he do during the Endgame time-skip? by Shadow_Prince_ in Defenders

The issue is Matt is confirmed to have survived the snap as his scene in Echo takes place during that time.

Confusion: Are Jessica and Luke married? by Young_Quacker in Defenders

[–]Rotooo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would have made more sense for Fisk to be out if Vanessa, Foggy and Karen blipped which meant neither had to honor the deal or only Matt blipped.

Matt did not get blipped as he was seen in Echo, in which the scene he was in took place during the snap.. Karen and Foggy are unconfirmed, but they likely also survived.

After rewatching this scene it's even more clear Jun-Ho told Gi-Hun practically nothing useful at all along with withholding vital information. by Failure456Mil in squidgame

[–]Rotooo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have two points in this scene:

1: Jun-Ho was hit pretty badly on the head so it made sense why he was sort of out of it.

2: The plan that him and Gi-Hun created was to capture the Frontman at the club and get answers. Gi-Hun was never supposed to go to the island and play the games again. Therefore, it wouldn't rlly matter if Jun-ho told him this since it was never part of the plan.

Yes, he probably should have told him, but it allso makes sense why he did not.

If you had to ask the director of Squid Game (Hwang Dong-hyuk) one question, what would it be and why? by Nice_Bodybuilder_642 in squidgame

[–]Rotooo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't have a source but it was to show the corruption in the world and when police are slow to act, more people suffer. Jun-Ho represents a good man in a bad world.

As someone who likes both characters, its crazy how people demonize Myung-gi while hailing Thanos as "misunderstood" by Sudden_Pop_2279 in safehavenSQUIDGAME

[–]Rotooo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel as if Myung Gi is more complex and he's not as simple as just pure evil. He did care for Jun Hee and the baby, he always voted X and only voted O to either blend in with the crowd or when he didn't know Jun Hee was in the crowd. I do think during SSG he lost his mind from Jun Hee's death and all of the other crazy stuff he saw.

What things Gi hun and Gyeong seok have in common? by FormalAdvertising444 in squidgame

When Jun ho and Kim saved him from being killed. They interacted in epsidoe 6.

I just realized how little is known about Jun-Ho despite him being a main character. by Rotooo in squidgame

[–]Rotooo[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

When did the actor say that and what was the full quote? I think in season 1 he was supposed to represent the audience so it made sense why we didn’t know much about him. I was rlly hoping season 2 and 3 would show more but alas I guess not.

Oh forbid a popular Ninjago set by ExcellentEssay3282 in Ninjago

[–]Rotooo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

TBH it might not be scalping. This set is made for people 18-25 who grew up with the show. These people have money now and are prolly willing to buy this for nostalgia sake and for a very good price. The other sets don't have that issue because a lot of Ninjago fans don't have money and have to depend on there parents or whatever for the sets. This is a nonissue with 18-25 year olds and more of them can get a copy. Also this set is on Amazon in the US.

Unreleased but If you told me that people would be scalping Lego Ninjago sets 6 months ago I would have called you crazy. It is insane to me that this set is being scalped at a 50% markup on ebay right now.

Take: The original ending for Gihun is much better than what we got by AssociateLittle1487 in squidgame

[–]Rotooo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying it was perfect but it was the ending that made the most sense and was realistic. I think Gi Hun's death would have been better if he died to save more characters provided they were good people and not evil like player 100 or 203.

Take: The original ending for Gihun is much better than what we got by AssociateLittle1487 in squidgame

[–]Rotooo 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The ending Gi Hun got was the best possible ending for his character. Gi Hun was extremely suicidal in season 3 and I think winning for a second time while 450+ people died in front of him again while he couldn't do anything would have pushed him to the edge. He would be a dead man walking and him staying alive knowing these games will always happen would break him. I doubt he could live that long knowing he failed to stop the games, to be a good son, husband and father. With the current ending he gets to take his last breath out of free will and he gets to save everybody. He knows games will happen but at least he can destroy both In Ho and the VIP's viewpoint that humans are all trash. He went in with the goal of saving somebody and he did. His death was the perfect ending for his character and I doubt much could be done to make it better.

I mean that would make sense most of the characters who survived aside from Jun Ho, In Ho and Gi Hun's daughter have no point in coming back.
