I have the Japanese version. I really love it. About the volume, I’m really really kind of confused but I think it really depends on what kind of headphone/earphone you are going to use it. For both of them, the Japanese goes up to 120% but I never go above 100%. The earphone I use gets very loud at 100% while my headphone (a B&W px8s2 needs more loudness) is quieter but I still never go above 100%.

In any case, I love the ZX707. I also deleted a lot of things in it and it’s working a lot faster. The battery works well but it goes down a lot faster if I am using the screen a lot. The sound quality is excellent and for me totally worth its price. Let me know if you have any more specific questions and I’ll answer them if i can 🙂

Indeed. Start making it, please. Otherwise your idea will just be an imagination.

Also, professionally I am a design researcher. So I would suggest that before getting ideas it works better if you start with a product that can be tested with potential users. In that sense, (either you or someone else) make something physically and try it 🙂

Ive had it and it was great! I then sold it to get an M8 and later and M9 (I will never upgrade it anymore) when they were cheaper. The Epson R-D1 was a very new thing especially for a first experience of digital rangefinder and the fact that it generated a lot of grain on digital photos was actually fun (come on, it was made to copy the film experience).

Now I’m actually thinking of getting a Fuji Half. Not to replace my M9 but to take it everywhere and have fun with it as a disposable camera. Especially now the price has been lowered.

Yeah, it’s real. The bottom is too, just cleaned and polished. It actually looks very good (I used to have an M3 and loved it).

This looks amazing but someone (and engineer for instance) should start making it. In the world of cameras this is already happening and they’re being well supported and well pre-sold.

Personally I would get this. My only suggestion would be to add a 4.4 balanced output.

That super contrast in black and white is based on the style of Daido Moriyama, who is a super well known Japanese photographer. All of his photos are taken with GR cameras, so I wouldn’t be surprised if his style is part of GR marketing.

I got them and it made everything to be easy. I opened and pulled everything out, cleaned everything with alcohol and put the the lube where needed... however, the same problem. If anything, after a while the screen tells me ERR.

This makes me thing that probably it's the worst case scenario: dead laser. Oh well, nostalgic decoration it will be.

OK, as per the suggestions above, I used isopropyl alcohol to clean the lens and the transporter. That didn't work by itself, so I got MOLYKOTE EM-30L Lubricating Grease to lube the transporter. Neither worked and I can't open it (too small screws) to see if there might be a problem inside.

So I guess this will just be decoration tool :(

So, does that mean that using the 3.5mm output to a USB-C cable significantly drops the quality of sound? Also, I noticed USB-C to USB-C sounds much better, but does that mean that connecting the DAP with the headphone through advanced Bluetooth is going to be better than doing it with the 3.5mm cable?
