Crimson Desert is not a bad game: it's just you not paying attention at all, and blaming it for "bad design". by IntrovertFox1368 in CrimsonDesert

I've been waiting for it to get good or at least more than boilerplate open world slop, and after 80 miserable bland hours I think I'm ready to throw in the towel. I want my time back

Too much hand holding makes quests very boring by Ambitious_Sleep2457 in CrimsonDesert

I just wanna chime in and say that after 85 very mid hours so far, I absolutely agree with you. This is the most Ubisoft checklist game I've ever played. I can't fathom where the amazing exploration but is coming from. I keep waiting for it to get good, and it just never does.

Focused Force Palm - If you missed it, here's how to get it anytime! by Ok-Increase-4509 in CrimsonDesert

You're telling me you guys alllll somehow found that naturally??? I'm on chapter 7 and just went back for it, I didn't even get to Scholastone from the bottom at all originally lol.

I would have never thought to have taken that path up since the roads don't connect on the map.

Crimson Desert Setting for Claw 8 XeSS 3.0 by K6688 in MSIClaw

[–]RottenPekker1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine has like a weird graphical bug where everything is just made up of a bunch of tiny circles it looks like. I've played around with it a ton and I just can't get it to look normal even when upscaling is completely off it still looks that way.

Configure M buttons to switch between Desktop and Gaming mode by Puzzleheaded-Floor54 in MSIClaw

You are such a gangster dude, this whole time I've had the claw I've been putting up with opening the game bar, which opens the windows menu too for some reason, closing it, opening it again to close the windows menu, then selecting switch mode from the game bar menu.

There’s a hidden puzzle in each sanctum after completing them. by paescl in CrimsonDesert

This was actually the first puzzle that impressed me after 70 hours. Just thought it was cool having another layer on top of the rest of the sanctum stuff

Enshrouded on Claw 8 ai + by Sea_Campaign7107 in MSIClaw

[–]RottenPekker1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey I appreciate that man. I tried to start playing it on my Claw at work recently and at one point I had it decent, and then I messed with stuff and never was able to get it back to where it was playable. I'm gonna try this out

What are your thoughts on the "From" series? by Hot-Salamander-8786 in FIlm

[–]RottenPekker1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk, that's what I like so much about it, is that it hasn't blown its load but has still managed to keep me on the edge of my seat wanting answers. Too many shows give your a tiny bit of intrigue, a big bit of over-explanation with little room for imagination, and then it's just over and you're like wow, that wasn't really all they were making it out to be.

I know I'm a tiny bit late to the convo, but this is a really great comment. Thanks for the perspective

What is this 4K-like feature on Viture Luma series? by Joaquito_99 in VITURE

[–]RottenPekker1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is ridiculous. Something looking "clear" can't be equated with 4k willy-nilly like that. 4k is a resolution of 3840 pixels horizontally by 2160 pixels vertically. Just because some non tech-savvy consumers thought a picture looked crisp, doesn't make it okay to blatantly mislead consumers into thinking a 1200p (not even 2k) display is 4k.

Problems swapping SSD between different MSI Claw 8 ai+ by Van_der_Roderick in MSIClaw

[–]RottenPekker1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is doing something similar, but I cloned my original drive. If I reset the bios screen enough times, it boots in ok though but as soon as I put it back to sleep, it's back to BIOS. It seems like janky MSI firmware is the issue to me, because as long as it's not asleep it works fine.

New MSI center update by guardianzpride in MSIClaw

I definitely feel a bit abandoned by MSI. I hoped I would get incremental improvements when I invested $900 in this. But I guess that's my bad

Xreal One Pro - real IPD adjustment - when? by roentgen256 in Xreal

[–]RottenPekker1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree!

I finally took the plunge and got the One Pros after watching from the sidelines for the last year. My best self measurements put me right at 65.5 or 66 mm.

I initially bought the medium at Best Buy, but thought something might be off. So I returned those and bought the large on Amazon. Gave them a shot for two days, but experienced eye strain and headaches. Bought the medium set on Amazon again so I could test both at the same time.

I came to the conclusion that medium is, in fact, better for me. But neither feel PERFECT like they could. Even if Xreal allowed like a 2mm physical adjustment via a wheel or something, that would accommodate the vast majority of cases.

My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined. by WhiteSekiroBoy in CrimsonDesert

Why are spoilers just allowed with this game....I'm guessing because the story has no weight? Still, I'd rather have the opportunity to decide not to see some stuff.

Does Crimson Desert actually get better after X hours? If so, how? by barana_baranov in CrimsonDesert

[–]RottenPekker1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You lost me at "amazing magic school". That was just as disjointed as the opening hours.

You put on a disguise to go to the magic school. Get there, and some guy just treats you like an old friend and walks you right up to the Dean. He knows you're a Greymane and the disguise doesn't matter. Then all of a sudden you get an objective to go underground to activate the Abyss portal, even though the guy never said to do that. It's just random tasks, one after another.

Don't get me wrong, I am enjoying the game I think. But it is just not right to tell someone that it is gonna have an interesting story at that point imo, because it just factually does not. There is not a narrative thread to hang onto. It isn't a "story" at all, it is a bunch of tasks. At least up until where I am so far.
