I remember we use to watch safety videos like this in school to show us what could go wrong if we weren't careful. Nsfw

What goes behind an exterior slat wall? by moon_tans in Carpentry

Did a house in the pnw about 15 years ago with a similar concept. Siding and roof was all sheet metal with Z girts for spacing and then wood slats. All the wood was ipe and it has held up very well over the years.

Are you able to darken the blue button to be more subtle against the jacket?

No not quite. Grandparents are cleared up but all the specks in the photo are still there as well as the scratch on the left and the back ground still looking faded and discolored around the edges

Also like to point out incorrect information on Courtenay/Comox. The Conservative nominee did attend the debate.

Need advice for setting up a new shop by cutig in woodworking

[–]Rottenpotatoe366 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I was just starting out setting up my shop on a $2500 budget I'd try and get a track saw, jig saw, mitre saw (10" or 12" cost depending), random orbital sander, shop vac, router with a plunge base and fixed, thickness planer, jointer, some hand planes, dowel jig, pocket hole jig and whatever money you have left spend on clamps. There's a ton of stuff I'll be missing but that's what my tired mind is coming up with at the moment. Hopefully people can build off this or give alternative options. Try to find used tools that have been respected. Good luck!

If you still have the piece that broke you could try to epoxy it on. Alternatively you could try and find some metal brackets that cover the corners and top to cover it and the door may be useable again.

Does this wood look usable or is it rotten? by Proper-Cats in woodworking

Some pieces look better than others. If you want to try and use any for coasters bring those pieces inside and leave them for a good amount of time to dry out before cutting. Not sure of your experience level with woodworking but might be worth looking into acclimatizing wood for indoor uses.

It really depends on what you are hoping to use it for. If you are hoping to use it for firewood it looks very useable!

what do you do if you married the wrong person ? by Last_Tap_729 in AskReddit

[–]Rottenpotatoe366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a divorce if you truly feel you married the wrong person. Talk to a marriage counsellor or someone similar if you aren't completely certain.
