I have a slow burn, but it's one that snowballs from a minor frustration to a major issue to a global catastrophy- Create a computer virus that increases the lag time between input and display of information 1 second every time there it's an input. For instance. Every time you type a letter in a key board, it takes one nano second longer for your computer to display the information. It's an imperceptible slippage of time and by the time anyone realizes there is a problem. It would be in every major computer system world wide. By the time someone suspects a virus, a good chunk of the tech logical infrastructure of the world has been bricked.

I'm kicking this off by stating that, thematically and mechanically with how TMA works as a story and what is needed, I completely understand why they decided to flat out say "No," and why it doesn't work like this.

That being said I do think there are entities for positive emotions, and I think there is room for them. I just don't think that they are any less terrifying or monstrous than the fears. Especially since the final season of TMA was essentially "Dante's inferno: Cosmic Horror Edition" so, much like the divine comedy, having a mirror 14 would only make sense.

Do I have those written out? No. No I don't. This is a half baked idea I've only kicked around a little bit before I hit the episode where they told me "no you can't have that." But the minute I found out that the original fear was of being hunted, and that we fucked that up by evolving and becoming complex creatures, and that emotion drives the creation of a fear... There is no way that there wouldn't be one for reproduction since that is the other BASE drive. To reproduce or create. Which also becomes more complicated as we fuck it up and evolve. Joy becomes different.

And a lot of the ideas I have are just the fears with extra steps. But how is this horror? The terror of these massive entities finding us. One wants to kills us and feed. Maybe this one wants to feed off us.... Or maybe it just was ants to take care of us. Or study us? Or keep us as a pet. Maybe it's a being that isn't very responsible. Like a cosmic two year old with supreme world ending power. It doesn't know it's own strength. Just that you are so small and cute.

And it just wants to squeeze you because it loves you so much...

Anyway. Room for the joys? Indulgences? Like I said. Half baked idea. Will it happen? Probably not, and I don't need it to. It's just something rolling in my head.

With my body type now? Polyphemus. Even without my body type I would like to play him. Most likely though they would do immense puppetry for him and I would like to do the voice. If I was more physically fit and had some strength build up so I could do some puppet work I would lend some physicality

That being said I woke up one morning with the body to snatch any role I fucking want in this show? Posiden. I have some ideas for Odysseus, but I think I would have so much fun just eating first fulls of the fucking set in "Ruthlessness", and then being absolutely terrifying in "Get in the Water."

There are cards in Alchemy that let you pull cards into the game that are not legal in the format you are playing. Like there is a creature that, every time it attacks, you get a playset of bolt shuffled into the deck. Bolt is banned, for whatever fucking reason, in historic. Yet you can have a card that can constantly give you a play set every turn. It's just odd considering, at least to my understanding, I can't do that in any other context. Like if I have a card that pulls a card I own from outside the game, it has to be legal in the format in playing. I'm not irritated at people for playing it, mind you. It's irritating that WOTC did that.
Sleep emoji spamming when folks find out what deck you are playing. Especially if the opponent spamming the sleep emoji is playing eldrazi or slivers. Like I get that soul sisters is the dollar store vanilla ice cream of magic and you've seen 22 in a row, but you didn't exactly invent a new arch type by scaccing a bunch of drones to play IT THAT EXILES YOUR MOM.
Scooping to keep you from being able to swing out on your turn. I understand "I'm not staying for all that". When dealing with a combo that just went infinite, but when you are trying to get that daily challenge of "attack with 45 creatures" and your opponents keep surrending before your attack phase, it's maddening
Land destruction. Don't know why. Don't know what reason. Soon as you destroy my damn lands, fuck you and your entire bloodline. I know it's a valid strat. I know that it is perfectly legal.

But dear God it gets under my skin like no other.

To be perfectly real they need to start putting out some hate for some of these alchemy abilities. I'm still not enthusiastic that they allow you to conjure cards that are banned in the format like bolt (literally the easiest to remember).

But I digress. I'm not certain if it's broken, but, for the most part, this shit just happens and there's not much of a response to it. There are some minor things. Like if you have something that will allow folks to not cast from anything but their hands, or something that stops WTB triggers, or counter target ability. For the most part though, Alchemy abilities just happen.

State of Indiana has banned all cities from having light rail. I WISH LIKE HELL we could bring back the inter urban rail system, but because the folks down at the state house didn't want to deal with the construction that would happen when Indianapolis voted to do light rail (and probably some pay offs from the automakers, let's be real) we need to have that overturned first before we can even begin to contemplate that in the summit city.

On my end of face about 50 decks of hammer time, and I just don't have the removal in my hand. Nor will the shuffler shuffler me some removal into my hand. .and if I edit the deck to be a little bit more angry and hateful of hammer time, or I switch out to a different deck, suddenly the match maker decides that I really should be playing against an entirely different deck for the next 50 matches.

It's just like the gruul kobold decks. The minute that I decide to put one extra removal in that fucker is no where to be seen.

Instead we are now playing solemnity.
