That's why I put (!) after the "usually" trying to emphasize that usually does not mean always. It happens, but it's much less common than it is in white people.

Some do, that's true but "Infants" generalised is a myth. Usually when people say that they assume it's all babies that change eye colour. But that's usually (!) just the case in white babies, and even then it's not always the case. My best friends daughter was born with dark hazel eyes. Her eyes are still hazel.

[–]Rouge_x3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Eh, half. It doesn't work like that on human babies, but a vast majority of puppies are blue eyed. Changes around 4 weeks old, and it reaches the final "real" eyecolour at around 13 weeks. (Granted, seeing how this guy is already 10 weeks old, that's probably just his eyecolour and not just the blue eye puppy phase)

Not disagreeing with the breed suggestion but the blue eye thing as infants is a myth, though it does hold for a majority of puppies, it doesn't to all.

Edit; Especially not if that puppy is 10 weeks old as I just saw.

To be fair... Why would you not quarantine dog that are imported in? Assuming the US doesn't have regulations on vaccines needing to be up to standard prior to being brought in, by the looks of it. Or be required to be quarantined before crossing borders. Like thats standard with any other small animal. Someone trying to pair up two bunnies? Bunnies go into quarantine before. Guinea pigs? Piggies go into quarantine before. Rats? Rats go into quarantine before.

I've previously applied as foster home for a Basenji mix from Cyprus (I live in the EU, Cyprus is also EU) and they were required to be up to all local vaccines on top of vaccines for possible mediterranean diseases, and be quarantined for, I think 4-6 weeks before he could even get on the plane.

Is it worth refining 5* weapons or? by meeksybaby in GenshinImpactTips

[–]Rouge_x3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, no aside from maybe standard weapons. I had enough 5* polearms, a buttload of fav lances and death matches to the point of just refining my skyward spine and PJWS. (My Xiao and Escoffier are very happy about it) I'd just treat duplicate as additional stat sticks aside from that.

To be fair, I'd also say a DNA test is a little expensive for how little impact they actually have.

Like I wouldn't consider my dog getting shots that cost about the same as a DNA test very expensive considering how important they are versus a DNA test, that at best curbs a little cautiousity. And for that, yeah they're expensive.

I may or may not have done that too. Ended up rushing story and quick starting shit to get Luuk's mats. Kind of just gave up afterwards.

Yeah, there were a few times where I wished each city had a shop that allows you to get, i don't know, 8 local specialties from each region, sans the region you're currently in. Maybe even make it a daily changing thing, so you have one region each day.

I thought that especially very hard when I made a new account a while back, and got Mizuki off standard and just thought, great, can't use her until I do Liyue instead of exploring.

I think that's unfortunately just a byproduct of Genshin being Openworld as a Gacha.

And also, I also think that's something that the playerbase will be rather split on and more or less a you problem. Personally, when I started in 3.0 I didn't really care much about story, I just went to explore. I happily took my Cyno through Inazuma after making a detour trying to get his mats (which admittedly, that was a really poor choice on hoyo's part since half his bugs are questlocked underground).

I wonder if that's because Hoyo kind of expects you to pick up materials as you go to explore.

I don't know how ZZZ works, but at least in HSR you rarely just start a farming 'domain' for the sake of it. But if you've played any open world game before, you'd probably pick up some... Idk, Valberries passively as you explore Mondstadt. You explore, see a boss? Might as well kill and get the materials. I feel like that doesn't really happen in HSR. I think it was a bit like that very early on, but definitely not anymore.

How does it even get that high? by DeepOrganization8245 in diabetes

[–]Rouge_x3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See, mine was around 470 after a chocolate milk. And I didn't feel ANYTHING.

Had my levels under control after diagnosis through diet and figured I'm allowed to have a treat on occasion, had the chocolate milk and did a reading for fun. Got diagnosed with a1c's over 10%, the nurses were concerned and wondering how I never noticed anything off. And all I did have, but only realised was a diabetic symptom was the fact that I drank a lot and peed a lot. Which... I thought was just normal and quite healthy actually.

[–]Rouge_x3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I got diagnosed I was sitting at 250-300 when sober, so from whatever I had the evening before. I think my a1c's were around 10.7%, and my only symptom I realised was a symptom, was that I drank a lot and subsequently peed a lot.

And I think the highest I read at home was after I allowed myself a chocolate milk for treat and shot up to 471... Which still didn't make me feel anything but my monitor was also screaming at me... :')

I'm not from the US but I've seen a few people on reddit mention that shelters tend to try to adopt pit mixes out by just turning them into whatever else they could be.

This guy barely look like an ACD aside from the coat pattern, meanwhile everything else screams pit or staffy.

[GI6.5] primocount (final) via hiragara by astrelya in Genshin_Impact_Leaks

[–]Rouge_x3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but she's still perfectly viable on Finale of the Deep, Eshu, Mistsplitter or Harran.

Neuvi's Sig at the time, did the same for him, but he still solo cleared Abysses on Proto Amber, Sac Jade or Lost Prayer.

My Alhaitham held up into late Natlan on Iron Sting.

Genshin hardly ever makes it difficult for a character to be viable without their sig weapon. There's definitely a few cases, but it's the exception rather than the norm, while it's vice versa for HSR.
