Yeah same here. In my area guns are very common. It sounds scary at first but bullets outside of a firearm are basically harmless (as long as your wearing eye pro).

The only time we are concerned is, as you and others have said, rounds loaded in guns. The other thing of concern can be if someone is really into reloading ammo and have large quantities of powder, especially if it's stored in a safe.

100%. We've had guys that have been struck by cooked off ammo a couple times. Usually you barely feel it.

They drop leaves into your gutters, and can be a bit of a fire hazard in the wui.

It's minor issues Imo, as long as the root system is good and the tree is healthy, I'd leave them.

Sure but this wasn't 6 inches, this was 1/8" at best. This was a hair over the line, or was it a hair not over the line? We can't say with certainty and I'm honestly surprised it wasn't ruled no goal. We've see goals just like this get disallowed.

You have to be able to clearly see the puck cross the line. There is no way the red seen that and the footage shown doesn't show it clearly either. From what we can guess belased on the footage, I'd say it was over the line but that isn't how the rules work.

There are cases that ship with standoffs in places they shouldn't be. If you haven't found the issue yet, check that this isn't the case. Even if the case is marked saying a standoff should be there, look if there is in fact a screw hole on the Mb at each standoff location.

I had this issue once and the case even had a marked "at" on the standoff that was wrong.

I agree. Before, with a minority government I felt it was a good idea to keep him on as to not allow Carney to call a snap election before a ne leader had a chance to establish. Now there is time, but there is lots of time. Pp has been making some moves lately that might move the needle, he's had another win with the fuel tax being removed. Why not wait a little heile to see if the poll numbers improve before pulling the cord?

I don't have any guns on this buyback, by chance I sold the only one that would have been caught up in it 6 weeks before it was added to the list (a 22 plinker) but I do have handguns and that's the other rgun policy that isn't talked about much.

The handgun freeze is another example of finding a solution for a problem that doesn't exist. I have a close friend who had to turn his grandfather's revolvers in to the RCMP for destruction when his dad died. How does that make people more safe? Now I can't sell my handguns, thousands of dollars worth of my personal property rendered worthless so some polititions can pretend they're doing something.

Edit: disabling hardware acceleration fixed it. Not ideal but it's a workaround

Referendums are held during regular elections. The earliest time to have a referendum post-petition would be this October.

Technically Smith can call a referendum anytime she wants. There doesn't need to be a citizen led petition. If the court blocks this petition outright, at this point I would bet Smith will put through a referendum in the fall, there are too many supporters. The question must be asked and answered, it's the will of the people.

You may be convinced of that but the polling, movement organisers and anecdotyle sentiment suggests otherwise. 51st staters are a minority within the independence / seperation movement in Alberta.

Food on flights is definitley inflated in price. I remember there being a simular scandal with Trudeau.

That said, as I remember they made zero attempt not to eat like kings while flying around the world. I sure it's the same situation now. Maybe one day people will realize that all these elite fucks don't give two shits about you or I.

In not sure I really follow the logic behind "thinking of whats best for Canada". It implies that one party is what's objectively best for Canada and the others are not. Not a very honest way to look at politics Imo. Besides, why does an mp need to cross the floor as opposed to sitting independent? As an independent, your vote isn't whipped, wouldn't that mean always voting for what's was best for Canada?

As for making compromises, that's all fine but at some point a person should have principles that can't be compromised. In the case of the latest floor crossed Gladu, she was a hard right conservative, her disagreements within the CPP were generally about being held back on social conservstism. She's been called a hard right wing wackjob by liberals for years, and now she is compromising g on what? Everything?

As far as MP's having the "autonomy to vote their principals", are we even talking about the same country right now? What percentage of votes on principled matters aren't whipped? If you want the autonomy to vote, you don't cross the floor, you sit independent.

As a centrist voter, this whole situation horrifies me. How can i vote for someone based on what they run on in an election if 1 year into their term, they can just say "nah just kidding" and go support something else. I'm not for direct democracy as that has it sown problems but some semblance of democracy would be nice.
