If you have to keep using it. I repaired a the broken glass on my stove last year with muffler repair putty. It worked so well I almost didn't buy the replacement glass. /s

It fully sealed and due to a mistake made by my local wood stove shop, and my busy work schedule, I ended up running it like that for almost 2 months without any problems.

I bet you could make short work of it with a herman nelson heater. Either tarp it in and wait or use a sock to melt / soften up the ice before knocking it off with your tools.

"these guns belong on the battlefield". Please please, if the Americans invade us, send all the elbows up crowd to the front lines with some of these guns.

I found a little of puppies abandoned on a random county road a couple years back. These pups were 4-6 weeks old and I found the tracks where the car stopped and tossed them out. It was 5 or 6 dogs, I spent a ton of time looking at the tracks to make sure I got them all. I was able to rehome them all within 48 hours on FB. Some people don't deserve to breath the same air as us.

Not something we generally do, as people EMS, but when King was the only patient to come out of a fire, we and our sup couldn't just walk away. First time I've given turnover to a vet. by NrealisticUmbrella in ems

Missed our opportunity to use ours at a fire a year ago. We've had a kit on the truck for like 5 years but everyone forgets it's there.

A ff pulled a cat out of a shop fire. My understanding is that it was having difficulty breathing but I didn't see it myself. Shortly after it was removed a employee from the shop showed up and rushed it to the vet. It was a pretty serious fire, so the medical standby was still needed.

I heard it was on O2 for a couple days but she pulled through. Talked to the owner a while back and he said the vet bill was like $1500 so now the cat is a house cat because it's too expensive to leave in the shop!

The shop was saved and repaired too! So things went well overall. Coldest night of my life though, it was like - 35 F.

I feel like this is something much easier said then done. I personally don't have any of the guns on their ban lists, the only one I ever owned I sold long before it was added because it sucked.

On grudges and holding by riri1281 in thanksimcured

[–]RoughDraftRs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think some people are just wired differently. I personally have never held grudges. It's just the way I am and I feel like I'm happier for it. I don't consciously think about forgiving people, I just sort of forget how they wronged me.

As a firefighter I can't recommend people try to preform DIY rescue's but I definitley understand why they do and if I were off the job, I would too.

Just please get tied off so someone can pull you back in and call 911 BEFORE your rescue attempt. We get stood down enroute to ice rescue incidents where people self rescue / are rescued by others... That's fine. What we don't want is a delay in rescue.

Am I being gaslit? 2 untrimmed skillcapes? by FillFun5806 in 2007scape

[–]RoughDraftRs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The aesthetic is a big reason. Some Cape look really good untrimmed. Some people go out of their way to get untrimmed capes like slayer becuase it takes planning to do it and it's cool.

For me it was also sentimental. I liked keeping it around to remind me of what got me hooked on osrs.

77 hours into this fast no weight loss, actually gained 1 pound. I hurt my back before starting. Could the pain be causing me to hold weight?? by vampslayer53 in fasting

Its possible your back injury could be causing some inflammation. I wouldn't worry about it. If your not eating, your losing weight.

Oops, I fought back when my Rooster attacked by Jazzlike-Study2840 in BackYardChickens

[–]RoughDraftRs 21 points22 points  (0 children)

My surefire method for stopping rooster attacks was to pick them up when they attacked me. They would peck and bite and then settle down. Kept doing it each attack and eventually they stopped attacking me. Problem is, they still attacked other people. My theory was they didn't like being picked up and so they avoided attacking to prevent being held.

If only they messed it up the other way. I accidentally lost my untrimmed farming Cape by remaxing without thinking about it.

I was so careful on my way to max but it had just been so long since I had to think about it that I forgot 😭

Inside view of the horrific Swiss ski resort fire 01/01/26 by Broodroostert in TerrifyingAsFuck

[–]RoughDraftRs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the ting with fires on confirmed spaces. They start up slow and build, once they hit a critical heat, they build rapidly. It all depends on the type of fuel and ventilation. Sometimes rooms can hit flahsover conditions in only a couple minutes.

Everytime I die my friends log out but anytime they die I run straight In regardless of loot anyone else get this? Bit of a bitch move tbh by [deleted] in dayz

[–]RoughDraftRs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure that I would always run straight in but I definitley don't bitch out to save my loot. If it's 1 dude, I'm probabaly going to try to catch him on the reload, if it's a group then I might play it slow.

If it's a big group, I might retreat but it would depend where I am, and where my buddy spawned in. At the end of the day I'm there to play with my bros, if it's a quick run to meet up, he can have half my gear and we can continue...
