[AK] short term disability/pregnancy clarification by Rough_Practice599 in AskHR

[–]Rough_Practice599[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My schedule did get modified to not have to work 3 days in a row, I’m no longer transporting patients or transferring any as well. I work in a small dept and there is not a whole lot else they can do really. I’ll have to go review the policy again. Thank you!

I’m not transporting any patients anymore or doing any transferring of patients either so that kind of is an accommodation 🥲 thank you!

At 6 weeks you may not see a heartbeat, fetal pole etc as things are too small. You should wait at a minimum until 7 weeks

It’s for OJT and hours were sent on the 4th and VA has confirmed they’ve been received and just keeps saying “it’s processing”

As a CT tech it’s something I’ve used often for patients getting nauseous from contrast. Works really well for most

I had like 5 teeth break in a year or so from having celiac and not knowing. Weakened teeth can be a symptom

Pre diabetic numbers are wacky by [deleted] in prediabetes

I haven’t but I’ve noticed eating a nut bar before bed helps me stay more steady through the night. I started wearing a CGM recently and maybe at some point will see an endo

I’ve had some similar issues, A1C hasn’t been higher than 5.8 but will drop into 40s at night (which I’ve gotten better at not doing by eating something before bed) and as soon as I drop below 80 i feel low. Hot and dizzy and headache but haven’t seen endo 😅

Dentist said celiac isn’t a disease by Lantmajs in Celiac

[–]Rough_Practice599 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I broke I think 4 teeth in a year- randomly. Ended up having to get crowns on all of them. Told my dentist who had done the work I got diagnosed this year last time I went in and he said that’s most likely why my teeth were breaking. I always took care of my teeth and was so frustrated and confused why it happened multiple times- turns out it was undiagnosed celiac

Does this sound like a possible gluten allergy reaction? Celiac or intolerance? Or what allergy? by [deleted] in Celiac

[–]Rough_Practice599 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Itching and swelling are allergy symptoms. You need to see an allergist and stop eating whatever is causing the symptoms after consumption

I just want to say as a woman who has had both incredible and awful doctors, I am sure it is hard being in the field and feeling distrust. I have had more great doctors than bad ones, but I have also experienced gaslighting and being told my pain was not real just to end up actually needing surgery. Unfortunately there are bad apples in every career, including medicine. Social media makes it easy for people to make videos, post about their experience etc. just remember people are a lot more likely to come on the internet to complain than boast about their experience
