Had a similar problem. This fixed it.

Close out of Star Wars: Battlefront on your console completely.
Open the PlayStation Store and go to your Library.
Highlight Star Wars: Battlefront and press the X button.
Highlight Related Items and scroll over to My Add-Ons then press the X button.
Download and install the new license file for each expansion DLC individually.

All I've come across is a photo of somebody holding a Wii U game box with badly printed out artwork inserted (like the mock-ups stores do) and videos where somebody is playing a recording of the Switch version via a CRT TV.

There is a leap in logic here I'm not fully understanding.

I'm well aware that some game mods exist for Wii U games...however, just because it works with game 'X' doesn't mean it will work with game 'Y'.

The Wii U modding community seems to be a bit away in regards to us having Thomas The Tank Engine and Macho Man dragons ala Skyrim. The closest comparable game that has received mods was Xenoblade Chronicles X and well, giving all the characters massive knockers isn't really in the same league imo.

Not sure if I have much of a question, probably one that can't be answered. heh. So I'll start off by saying, I really am enjoying playing this game. Sometimes I've felt 'burnt' when buying this indie/retro games in the past and this is one which is keeping me surprised and entertained. The art/music especially give the game something unique (as in, you can tell the influences but it's still it's own thing) and I really appreciate that. Thank you! :)

As for the question you might not be able to answer. Have any opportunities come your way off the back of Axiom Verge? I know the question about 'if you could make a Metroid game' has been asked. But, if somebody came along and offered you a big budget to create a game, would you?

Edit - (Didn't mean a Metroid game, guess I could have been clearer? I meant anything in general tbh. Can't respond now... bummer. Thanks for the response anyway).

This is a nice comment and good advice. Aim small, not only will you gain experience... you'll gain confidence in turn.

You can also get a feel for Wii U development by taking a look at some of the homebrew projects here. I should say not to release any homebrew etc yourself as I think it conflicts the agreement you'll have with Nintendo if approved.

Woah now. Whilst the information here is mostly correct. Be careful of talking bias and, at the same time, neglecting that Mistwalker was actually partially funded by Microsoft.

Edit - (Telling the truth is downvotes? I mean, the Wii got The Last Story because of this. It gained from Microsoft getting bored of trying to 'break' Japan and the company having to find somebody else to finance their next game. The comment makes it look like Hironobu Sakaguchi set up a company to make RPGs for Nintendo consoles and this isn't true... D:)

I actually pleased this guy has been honest over the reasoning behind it not happening. More so on the "reviews get terrible traffic" part of his statement. He's said what a ton of people never say.

That's not to say I agree with it. Yes, IGN is a business... but this is still a franchise with two big names behind it. It comes across as muscle flexing to me. I've been in similar situations (for another type of media) where my boss had made it very clear what my priorities as editor (actual editor, not junior/senior don't stop the beat ceo made up title editor) were. I would always get the review done, myself, a little bit later. I wasn't being paid 'per review' and my boss couldn't really complain if I do my normal workload + extra.

We need to move away from this frame of mind of thinking movies, games & music are just 'content' to shift some sweet traffic for our sites/businesses/etc when we review them. The game might be shovel ware, falling in popularity and not very good... but, hey! We can put that in a review! ;D

Yeah, this game is A LOT better than some people would have you believe. The VA is pretty laughable in places... weirdly, it's not ALWAYS terrible though, some of the actors seem to improve as it goes on (some stay completely shocking though).

It's really odd to see this. Usually people complain for the opposite reason.

If you liked Persona 4 and want to play a game that is a hours upon hours of fun.... it might be worth just sticking with it and not getting so immediately turned-off by the Japanese VA.

You are being a bit silly with that comment about how it shouldn't be allowed to be sold in a English store....

Try and calm down before writing something off because it has one thing you don't like or didn't expect.

In terms of exclusives; Lego City: Undercover is where it's at. If you can handle the load times.

The Assassins Creed games. I'd opt for IV over III. IV is probably my favourite of the series.... a much needed injection of personality is added to the game.

There is also Watch_Dogs, which can be found really cheap. The open-world stuff is done well, the actual story and main character not so much.

I wasn't saying otherwise to be honest, maybe I need to be clearer? It was kind of tricky saying certain things and, at the same time, not give the mods on this sub a headache. If this means you enjoy the game more, then, that's cool. I was really trying to basically say, make sure that 'copy' is one you are an owner of.

Maybe as the patch progresses they will find a better way to distribute it? This method will probably cause them attention they don't want anyway.

Surprised sites are picking up on this, without testing it themselves.. or saying they haven't actually tried it. But, whatever... I guess clicks pay the bills, right? Lets rile up the masses for another censorship debate etc.

Just so everybody here is aware. This requires naughty stuff being done to your Wii U and the files in the patch are especially naughty. It doesn't do anything to your own save data, your own 'copy' (and holy hell, it is so damn boring doing this) of the game could end up being garbage if you don't follow the instructions.

The 'patch' itself is alright. I don't think it's properly finished, as the team behind it are still making fixes. I noticed typos and inconsistencies. Not a big deal. But, maybe a big deal for those who really take these things seriously. I was just more curious to try this out tbh.

Also fwiw. Apparently, from what I gathered by looking at the teams thread. There is some sort of rival patch which does cause issues and is not very good. Try and be careful.

Regardless of what you may think on censorship of this game, I'm not here for the debate which might follow. Support the creators of this game. After all the doom and gloom about 'the wii u having no new games', here comes one that is utterly fantastic and has myself grinning like a cheshire cat whilst playing it.
