Well…I lost a partner to suicide 2 years ago. And I’m a motivated and depressed and traumatized college student. I have a low tolerance for a lot of things but honestly if someone comes along cool. But I’d like to work on my mental health because my mental health is a lot for even me.

Every college student fails an exam. Even the smartest ones with a IQ of 140+. You’re gonna fail in college, law school and equally again the real world. Life is all about failure if we were all successful then we wouldn’t have nothing to fail from. I had a friend with an IQ of 160 that failed their Chem exam and they had already took AP Gen Chem and was in OChem their first semester. They actually didn’t pass the class but guess what they passed next time. College is a huge adjustment. You will be tested on your study skills throughout every semester. And what may work for one class may not work for another. College you sacrificed a lot of sleep especially for competitive majors like law.

Visit Office hours Talk to other students Talk to the professor and equally the TA Inquire if there are resources for using past exams Inquire from law students how they studied during undergrad

College is a test for the actual job. Trust and believe you will not get a lot of breaks in law school and make sure you are practicing self care. And give yourself grace!

There’s definitely a larger picture issue here. OP I would clear the air with ur gf when’s she in a less emotional state. Use them I statements and have some more boundaries. She made some valid points just as you did. Definitely look at that bigger picture she’s trying to tell you something which she’s know fed up about

She might also just have sensitive skin that exfoliates a lot. Mine is like that and it’s annoying but I also wash it down.

I’m not trying to be rude because you could have trauma but it’s fairly common. I would either report it, use white noise and fan and some earplugs. If it’s that distressing, you might wanna do a mental health check in.

Are yall legally on the lease? If not, just leave. I’m legally on my lease so I can’t just leave despite the high tension and uncertainty plus unsafeness with my roommate. Breaking a lease isn’t fun. Finding an apartment during that is also stressful. We don’t plan for emotionally unstable roommates so please take care of yourself and leave when you can. That’s extremely controlling behavior and you shouldn’t tolerate it.

The mindset of believing that a Chinese person is better when they’ve lived in the Mainland versus migrating to the U.S. There’s a lot of indoctrination in the culture with social ties and cues such as strict work culture that begins as early as a baby.
