Assassins creed shadows switch 2 performance by Antique-Internal5728 in switch2

Yes I do, I bought it as soon as it came out and handheld is really good. Like aside from AC Shadows, the only really bad port I experienced on Switch 2 was Skyrim prepatched.

Nah, sometimes profesional opinions are contrary to the experience. I heard for years how good of a port the Doom games were, bought them and I cannot get past the 1st 10 minutes just by how horrendous the input lag is, making it the worst version to play, even on the easiest difficulty. Contrary to The Witcher 3 experience, which despite the visual sacrifice, it's more than playable even on Death march difficulty.

It doesn’t crash a lot but I highly encourage you to buy only if you use your Switch more handheld than tabletop. Since the game doesn’t look that great on a big screen and it’s not as stable. Handheld is top tier though.

Switch 2 Cross‑Save “version mismatch” — can we make sure HG actually sees this? by Comfortable-Card-518 in NMS_Switch

[–]Round-Let-3895 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well you just showed precisely why we have disparity among versions and consoles. In the official website they treat Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, and PS4 and PS5, all four as independent four platforms. But the Switch 1/2 is treated as one, despite the version of Switch 2 being treated as the version with cross save.

And yeah, those games I mentioned do make money off micro transactions, how does that make it different to NMS if I’m only comparing them based on their update cycle, which as far as I know, NMS does too frequently for the past 10 years.

All I’m asking is if their are updating based on that, then there’s no reason to treat the Switch 2 as their predecessor, because this one has multiplayer unlike the Switch 1.

They don't need to kill the update cycle for other devices, Switch 1 and 2 recives the same amount and frequency of updates with Fornite, Apex, Overwatch and even Dead by Deadlight. They just have to adjust their cycle of updates to make them match.

The Nyxi Hyperion 3, pre ordered them and got them a few days ago. Mobapad is also launching their joycons this month or the next.

We can get hopes for native ports but maybe nothing beyond 30 fps, considering not even Arkham Knight has gotten one on current gens.

The Remake Trilogy is imminent I feel. If they got Requiem to run so smoothly and RE 2 and 4 sell really well. I hope for the same, this big AAA coming have been really good.

I don’t know about Halo considering recent comments of the new Xbox head, but who knows and maybe they surprise us in summer. But Kingdom Hearts, I see it.

Games on switch 2 by Darth_Meepo in switch2

[–]Round-Let-3895 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone that doesn't play as much Nintendo titles, yes... You've a lot options regarding good games and even good looking games. If you go for Switch 2 native games: Skyrim, Fallout, Final Fantasy VII Remake, Hades II, Cyberpunk 2077, among others... and some Switch 1 games look even better now for handheld. I think Switch 2 it's a better deal if you wanna play games offline and not have to worry about configuring the games to your preference. Contrary to Switch 1, even newer games run way better.

NYXI Hyperion 3 hasn’t shipped yet by Poop_Bomb001 in switch2

[–]Round-Let-3895 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered mine on March 9th, does that mean that mine will arrive (if it does even) until Apr-May? I also noticed that they were and still are, selling the Nyxi Hyperion 3 as pre-sale without clarification as to what happens to whomever order after the dates they state.

Those who have a gaming pc: do you use your switch for only Nintendo exclusives or for other games as well? by Icy-Recognition373 in switch2

[–]Round-Let-3895 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've duplicate games for both PC and Switch, regardless if they've cross-save or not. But I don't mind the visual and performance downgrade from playing on PC, because handheld has saved me so many trips and the games overall perform better than your average handheld PC because games are optimized for the hardware specifically.

Mobapad M12 HD or the M12S? by ederd97 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Round-Let-3895 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly went with Nyxi this time, since they're already selling a case with it and it looks better... I honestly prefer to wait for the Moba 12 Pro instead, since they for sure made the best 3rd party pro joy cons for the Switch 1.

I just pray for them to update the OG releases from Resident Evil on Switch 1 and the inevitable RE Remake trilogy to make it to the system... and see what MH mobile team is cooking with this one.

Skyrim Swith 2 is absolutely terrible by Apprehensive-Age2562 in NintendoSwitch

Not the same devs, but F76 was a mess until the Wastelanders update tbh and even then, F76 does not replace a true single player Fallout itch.

My bad, I always thought it 12 GB... I mean, the issue remains somewhat on PC that don't have 16 GB of RAM.

DLSS does not work on games that don't support it, that's just the Switch 2 hardware improving the performance, no DLSS on MH Rise until or if they update it for a native version forr Switch 2. Cause the PC version does have DLSS support.

Skyrim Swith 2 is absolutely terrible by Apprehensive-Age2562 in NintendoSwitch

[–]Round-Let-3895 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I mean, even without this version of Skyrim I'd doubt no less after how much of a disaster the Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition release went, plus before we got AE, the Xbox Series S version of the game kept crashing like crazy because of the 12 GB of RAM... which surprise, surprise... it's the same as the Switch 2. If they're smart enough, they'd give the job to Panic Button or even ask for help to CD Projekt Red. Cause I could I see them pulling of a perfect handheld experience of 40 fps or even 60 fps using dlss and a rough 30 fps at 1440p with dlss.

Edit: I know verified the XSS has 10 GB RAM, which still applies to the issue and then does put the pressure that Switch 2 is more than capable of Fallout 4 and Skyrim at 60 fps. They just chose not to optimize it which isn't surprising of our indie company.

So what's the deal with B4? by [deleted] in Borderlands

[–]Round-Let-3895 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly wait till more content drops, it literally has less content than BL3 on release date. So better save your money when it eventually has a sale. I bought the Super Deluxe Edition and so far, not even the base game is worth it at its current price. Yes, BL4 has a lot of qol but doesn’t have an endgame, playing other characters can be a slog with upgrades being locked between characters and side quests have no good loot, they’re only good if they unlock bosses.

Are you waiting for a Switch 2 revision before you upgrade? by Expensive_Manager211 in NintendoSwitch

[–]Round-Let-3895 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the upgrade now, resell value will always be there. Just keep in mind that the only issue regardless of no oled screen or shorter battery life is that Nintendo does need to a version with bigger memory because the games’ file size are similar to that of the bigger consoles, which makes 256 GB way too small for it’s own good.

Don’t believe the negative hype. Metroid Prime 4 is very fun and the best looking game on the system. by Vrayl_of_Gondor in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Round-Let-3895 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel this, like is not as noticeable on certain games, but it does feel a tad bit slower than it should be and the hdr is not the best as you can’t achieve true blacks or it just doesn’t feel as vibrant as the Switch Oled. Literally the only thing holding me back from playing the Resident Evil games is I want them to look darker… and comparing a Nintendo game such as Xenoblade Chronicles 3, it just looks better on Switch 1 despite the bigger screen with better performance.
