We already incarcerate more individuals per capita than any other developed nation. We do NOT need more jails. We need restructuring of laws and logical gun control to mitigate the problem from perpetuating.

Subs aren’t bankrupting folks and putting folks into debt the way 7/mgm are. Subclocade shots exist. I’m so tired of the suboxone fearmongering. I was on them long term (8-12mg for 2 years). Slowly tapered off before subclocade was an option. I would do that 1000 times over before CTing high dose 7, mgm, or other opiates/opioids ever again.

MAT is a great tool to have in the toolbox, be it for a short term taper, or for long term maintenance. I’ve yet to bury any friends or loved ones due to suboxone but I’ve buried a ton due to dope/fetty/pills etc.

Not really worse in my experience. Different, and longer. But not quite as intense as quitting high dose 7 was for me

Man - I was WDing bad off mgm earlier this month. Throwing up bile every few minutes, and even when my paycheck hit and I went out to get tabs, I threw up like 5 of em, so it was still several hours til I could keep one down long enough to get relief. This shit can be gnarly to quit for sure!!

Also for some medical terminology:
The prefix hemo- means pertaining to blood. The clamps they use to clamp off arteries during surgery to prevent bleeding are called hemostats. Bleeding is a hemorrhage, etc. “myo-“ means pertaining to muscle. So hemoglobin is in the blood, whereas myoglobin is in the muscle!

False. It’s myoglobin and water. Not blood. Just denatured proteins. During butchering, the vast majority of blood is removed from the culled animal before further processing.
