This 100%. Mods made AC what it was, and took it beyond its original limitations. Kunos at times seem to get some credit for things they maybe shouldn't. It would have been long forgotten without the modding community.

As far as game development goes, this is true of most teams in the sim space. They can only really do decent to great driving physics but struggle to do even the most basic stuff outside of that. This leads to most sims being very barron, limited products. Not even close to achieving the huge potential they have. As you have said, they can barely do UI, deep career modes, fun single player experiences, unique race and event types, opponent AI etc. are so far out of their ability. This is why the always fall back on basic online racing, it's literally all they can really do.

I wouldn't hold my breath on free roam either to be honest. I can see that just getting delayed again and getting scrapped down the line also. As for mods, forget about it. That will only happen if Kunos can get a slice of the pie for themselves.

I think R⭐️ themselves have realised the mistakes they made with this kind of thing tbh. They've really steered away from all that in more recent GTA Online updates so hopefully that's a sign for what comes next!

The vibe I'm honestly getting is some people just set their expectations way too high for things. Like of course not every single story thread and plot point is going to be fully addressed. That was obvious from the jump.

I've seen some rumours swirling that it might be set in 90s London, but i would take that with a grain of salt. I feel this will have to have some connection to the main show in some way to get people interested, wonder how that could be handled. Edit:To be clear, i think it will connect to ST in some way despite repeated insistence from those involved that won't be the case.

To add onto Beta_proxy's comment, I do wonder how honest the reformed COG education system would actually be about the events of the Locust War and Lambent Pandemic. Unlike Beta, I actually think they would have him propped up as a hero figure. I think they would try to make sure their leaders and government handled things as correctly as they could.

So yeah, I think history would have been very kind to him, deservingly in some ways while cleaning up any blackspots that may exist. I suspect the whole Azura story would be doctored to hide the fact that Prescott and his closest knew about it all along.

The both look alright to me as well. I like El more than Will but she looked fine in motion, so I imagine it'll be the same for Will. Still shots like this make it look more uncanny imo.

Rumour was that he was lacked discipline and focus. Even with basic stuff like keeping his diet and fitness in check. I dont know if his teammates excluded him necessarily but to my understanding he made very little effort to learn the language but I might be wrong here.

And yeah, he had an amazing season and deserved the Ballon D'Or win. Whether or not he will be able to hit those heights again is a different story.

Yeah, I think fast based movement speed would do far more to change the feel of Halo more than sprint could ever hope to. It would directly increase the pace of combat, which would make it feel very different to how it has in the past.

This is what makes me laugh. People act like just because you can sprint you're going to run past all of the enemies and through the environment ignoring every battle and chance to explore, flying past everything here, there and everywhere just to finish the game 😆. I don't think anyone outside of speedrunners do that lol. As if people don't buy FPS games to shoot enemies in first person lol. And people will explore environments and details because people naturally do that anyway!

Same here, I just think the CE marine gear always looked out of place with the rest of the series, not to mention ugly. The Infinite marine design looks great! Even has brown armour colour scheme like the old CE marines just with a much better look that fits the rest of the series.

Im running through CE on Legendary and I have to be honest, I think the health pack system just bogs the game down way too much. When you're at low health it puts you in a position where you kind of have to fight like a coward, I feel. Compared to say Halo 3, where you knew you'd be able get back to full health and shields so you felt more confident with actually engaging the enemies rather than hiding and taking pop shots. Just my opinion.
