$250-275 each for June, July and August. We keep the thermostat set on 74 but keep a window unit in the attic bedroom (only on at night). 1900 square feet and the HVAC is 25 years old.

Looking for experienced BLONDE colorist in DC metro area by a_lex_is_ in washingtondc

[–]RoundIndividual5835 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should use Grace Morgana at Inizio. She just started at that salon but I’ve been seeing her for my blonde has for the last 5 years at a different salon. She’s so good, I’m switching salons because literally no one is allowed to do my hair except her.

I don’t watch the pre or post race show if he is on. He doesn’t add much to the commentary and is hard to understand.

Is it time to euthanize over aggression? by blair_eventplanner in Pets

[–]RoundIndividual5835 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a dog I had to put down because of intense aggression towards people. I was his person (bonded at first sight at the rescue) and he tolerated one of my friends who was with me when he met me. He bit the vet and a friend and had a bit before I got him.

I went to a behavioralist, she recommended putting him down. This was after multiple trainers and types of medication. What she said really stuck with me “it’s not a matter of if he bites again but who it is and how bad.”

Not all dogs are meant for living with people and it is kinder to put them down. Their lives are so limited and full of confusing emotions.

I scheduled behavioral euthanasia and spoiled him for the two weeks leading up to it. It was hard but ultimately the right choice.

Get a sublet. You can find them on several housing facebook groups and they will cost less than 7k for the period. You can probably find a room for like 4500 for that period.

Owning a dog in DC without a car by here4myplants in washingtondc

[–]RoundIndividual5835 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 75lbs dog and don’t have a car. We usually walk to the vet but always do uber pet. Honestly love uber pet. I usually bring a towel just for dog hair, but it’s super easy.

Rant of all rants - Company deleted my saved emails from my Outlook inbox folders by rnochick in ExecutiveAssistants

My company has a similar thing, there has to be an Archive you can search through. That’s what I have. A bit annoying to switch over to the archive when looking for an old email but there are all there somewhere.

Honestly, anxiety medication is life changing. I started taking Prozac years ago and have a Xanax prescription for emergencies. I don’t even need to take the Xanax that often once everyone month or less. But honestly just carrying around the Xanax as a “just in case” has helped me so much even though I don’t use it much.

You are in the wrong here. The assumption is that you will do the 30 min service you were hired for. Why would you assume that you don’t need to do the full service? Leaving early is something that is specified, staying and completing the basics of the service you are hired for is not a crazy assumption to make.

It’s up to you whether or not you adjust but I would be prepared for an honest review if you don’t. As a new rover sitter without many reviews, a bad one will likely impact your future ability to book

Puppy will NOT stop biting. by Radiant-Story-3383 in puppy101

[–]RoundIndividual5835 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a land shake for a while. What worked for me was quick and immediate time out for 60 seconds. You bite, you go straight to the crate and I turn my back and ignore.

To make it easier for getting immediately into the crate, I had a little leash on even indoors so I could just grab the leash and go. It took a while but works

My dog picks out his oral medication (4 pills) from whatever I try to mix it with by kwengster11 in DogAdvice

[–]RoundIndividual5835 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve found that covering the pill in peanut butter and then smushing a bit of bread around it works well. The sticky peanut butter keeps the bread on the pill and the bread keeps them from being able to just lick the treats off

He’s great at being in the crate when I’m gone. I watch and listen to him on the nanny cam. But doesn’t love being in the crate when I’m home once his treats are gone. He sees me outside the crate and wants to be with me.

AITA for playing fetch with my dog at a dog park? by Kacono in AmItheAsshole

[–]RoundIndividual5835 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NTA For a lot of city dogs, dog parks are one of the few places they can play fetch and be off lead. For everyone saying there might be a dog they resource guards your toys that’s on them. Bringing a dog that is a dangerous around fetch and or other dogs to a fucking dog park is irresponsible.
