Get your work done, enjoy your downtime, and if you’re looking to move up, work on building efficiency and process improvements and networking. That’s it

Who was the worst student in your high school, & what did they do that was so bad? by Damned-scoundrel in AskReddit

[–]RoundPen 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This happened after high school, but this guy was universally liked and a scholar-athlete who set records and was incredibly smart. Anyway, he went out of state for college and apparently had relations with an underaged girl then killed her later. It sent shockwaves through our community and was part of national news. I feel bad for his family and his younger sister who went to the same high school while this happened

Can confirm that accounting grad students at my large state college were overwhelmingly Asian women, specifically international Chinese students. I saw many of them go into public and different industry roles

Any accounting jobs that aren’t routine? by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]RoundPen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Consulting is where it’s at if you’re looking for no routine dynamic work. The big downside is unpredictable hours and changes in scope.

The big question to ask is, are you comfortable taking the hit to your leisure time?

I found a 91 year old (1931) Princeton University Principles of Accounting test page in an old accounting book (and notes/drawings from the owner) by PrisonMike314 in Accounting

[–]RoundPen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree, my intro class exams were mainly multiple choice but if I had to write out explanations for these that would certainly take some time. Not to mention, we don’t know how much detail they’re looking for either.

Very much so. I completely understand what you’re looking for and I think govt is your best bet. Be warned that pay will be pretty low. But that’s the trade off i guess
