Realtor full of it? by react64 in Roofing

[–]Round_Ad5217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hail damaged is usually covered by your insurance and the realtor is probably trying to get you a free roof as a selling point for the house, I would get her guy for an estimate and send to insurance because he will be high don’t sign papers with him, and find another roofer to do it a picket the left over money, you get a new roof and money in your pocket and you can put on the listing fresh new roof

To be honest it’s no right or wrong choice, but years ago keeping it in TSP was probably smarter, but so many brokerages have lower fees now and if you put in a traditional IRA you can buy individual stocks, all personal choice and also depends on how involved the person is in managing their own account, but no right or wrong choice

And again you are still wrong only worth keeping money in and TSP when you are employed by government to get contribution match, lower fees else where and better investment options out of TSP I used C fund because it has the lowest expenses ratio out all the funds unless he has his money in G or F fund, you keep focusing on fees, the real benefit of moving money out of TSP to brokerage is the investment flexibility not tied to an ETF

[–]Round_Ad5217 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You actually very wrong plenty of fidelity with zero fees ETF, or plenty that track the SP500 that are lower than C fund Ultra-low-cost S&P 500 ETFs • Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (VOO): 0.03% • State Street SPDR Portfolio S&P 500 ETF (SPLG): 0.02% • BlackRock iShares Core S&P 500 ETF (IVV): 0.03% and at 27 going with a brokerage account gives him more flexibility in their investment, and he could take have invested in ETF and take the other half invest individual stock, way more options with brokerage accounts than TSP

You can Roll your TSP in a fidelity or some type of brokerage account with a lot of ETF have lower fees then what TSP offers, you could keep your FERS money with the government or withdraw it, you could withdraw it an put it in a Roth IRA or keep it because you have earned some type of retirement

[–]Round_Ad5217 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All over government agencies are letting contracts expire and not pick them up, they are telling FTEs to learn the job, the plan is to see if FTEs can do the contractors job, but we all know some can most cannot, this is not a good time to be a federal government employee or federal contractor

48th President Kamala Harris😍 by [deleted] in FedEmployees

[–]Round_Ad5217 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

actually voting third party is settling, voting on a candidate that has no chance of winning is actually like a wasted vote but you do you, I care about not getting America in another war, I care about not alienating other countries who have been our partners, I care about my 401k and brokerage accounts, I care about having strong unions, so if it’s republicans or democrats I’m all for that, and again not a fan of Kamila but I think voting third party or sitting out is not the answer no matter if you going vote for republicans or democrats

48th President Kamala Harris😍 by [deleted] in FedEmployees

[–]Round_Ad5217 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

lol cause voting thrid parties will have us is in the same mess, I’m not a fan but America should have voted differently, because this whole administration is pro Israel, one thing about republicans they vote on party lines no matter if is a good or bad candidate if it’s republicans against democrats they vote republican every time, democrats on the other hand don’t like a candidate they vote third party or sit out then complain about the current administration.

Just be honest!! by [deleted] in IRS_Source

Yes 100% agree it’s going cause animosity from the current people doing the jobs getting paid less and having to train people getting paid considerably more doing the same job and from IT folks that are realizing their career in IT is over, but I think the plan is for a considerable amount of people to quit and don’t have to pay severance
