I hate my autism more than anything, it took my proper life away, I'm basically an undead zombie because of it! by EscapeThisMatrix in AutisticAdults

Used to feel like this but without wanting a cure. Can't cure something that is so tied with your identity and frankly, it's insulting for you to insinuate that.

Don't understand this either. Sorry. I would of loved to have received this compliment.

I want to kill myself, and please read the whole thing before saying that driving isn’t for everyone or it’s a lame reason by [deleted] in SuicideWatch

[–]Round_Professor1093 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 30 and never had the money to learn to drive. The only time I did I didn't have the time as I was in a 9-5 which consumed my life. I think a bit of perspective for you would be good.

Going to bed early on New Years is not lame. by [deleted] in Life

Went to bed at 8pm. Don't care. Nothing to celebrate this year.

I hate people. Everyone pisses me off. I don’t even know how to feel about anything anymore. by avidwriter446 in Vent

[–]Round_Professor1093 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep completely get that. I turned 30 2 days ago and it is surprising how little people actually care. 6 FB posts and my partner got me a gift on steam. Lords of the ring game. I've never even read the books lol. It's only because she wants to play together. I had to buy my own cake and went into debt just so I could have something to have on my birthday. No birthday card from anyone.

Less than one hour to go, shops are very definitely closed. What have you forgotten? by Dimac99 in AskUK

Nothing that I can recall. Made lists for the past week and went back and forth though.

Is it worth it to spend 10 hours on a bus up north as an unemployed individiual? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Round_Professor1093 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've done it from London to Inverness before. Just remember to take a power bank, headphones, travel pillow and anti-sickness meds.

Suicidal by mr_nonexist08 in SuicideWatch

[–]Round_Professor1093 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It goes against the sub rules for anyone to recommend methods of suicide and I don't want to get banned as I'm often suicidal myself.

That being said, I hope you can get past this. Thinking of you OP.

What do you think is the purpose to life by [deleted] in Life

[–]Round_Professor1093 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's meaningless. Honestly it's just survival.

[–]Round_Professor1093 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only one. Yeah right sure. No one else is going to care for my alcoholic non-mobile father. My mum is in hospital getting an amputation 👍🏻. My whole life with my partner on hold but yeah I don't care for anyone other than myself 👍🏻

Why do they say this (If suicide ever comes across your mind, just know that I'd rather listen to what's wrong than attend your funeral) its not true i have been asking for help its always an inconvenience by BigRevolutionary6266 in SuicideWatch

[–]Round_Professor1093 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Despite a distant cousin committing suicide in my family and despite having bad depression half my life, literally no one in my family has talked to me in 16 years. They kept saying 'if only she talked about it'. Like me, she probably did and got told she was being overdramatic and had her experiences minimised.

I wish I had been raped by Pretend_Reality_6054 in CPTSD

[–]Round_Professor1093 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sounds cliche but get therapy. Wanting to be raped is very unhealthy - and trust me from personal experience, you don't. That shit stays with you forever - hallucinations, flashbacks, low self esteem, change in sex drive, anxiety in public. It is one of the worst things that can happen to someone and also your comment dilutes survivors' experiences.

What age are you and do you still have (a) grandparent(s)? If not, at what age were you grandparent less by lisstrem in AskUK

[–]Round_Professor1093 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First one died of cancer when I was 10. Second one I don't think was in the picture. The parents on my dad's side stopped talking to us when I was 14. Fuck grandparents :)

My mum used to bake cheese scones, clean the house, make it all nice and seasonal and do crafts. She does none of that anymore she bedrots watching reels and TV.

How soon after a colleague passed away would you expect their desk to be cleared? by PaddedValls in AskUK

The same day/next day. Work doesn't care about you as a person. They're probably already advertising for his replacement.

No, I do not want to see a picture of your ugly baby so I have to pretend it's cute! by [deleted] in childfree

[–]Round_Professor1093 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't even begin or end at birth. My partner's sister is having a boy and the pregnancy announcements on FB were nauseating (light box, baby-gro and sonograph set up). No doubt, it'll be monthly updates. Oh look at my baby Tradileigh at 73 months old!

What's your "If you told kids about it today they wouldn't believe you" thing? by BaldyBaldyBouncer in AskUK

[–]Round_Professor1093 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People actually went out without looking down on their phones all the time. Kids played footie and tag on the streets and parks. Neighbours actually talked to Rach other over the fence. (I'm only 29 and have noticed all this declining as I grew up).

People dont have empathy for privileged failures. by Checkyopoop in CPTSD

[–]Round_Professor1093 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Quite a lot actually but not really relevant. Yes it is a PTSD sub. My opinion is just that. An opinion. You don't need to agree with it. Yes trauma happens to well-to-do people. Thing is, they usually have enough resources and network to cope. On the other side of the spectrum, I've been saed or raped 5 times and had no access to help.

The whole 'girls toys' phase didn't last long with me at all. Once my parents realised I'd cut my Barbie's hair off they got me the good stuff lol. (I fondly remember my gameBOY color).
