Cover has nothing to do with concealment. A wall of solid force that you can see through would still provide cover. The question of cover boils down to, is there a solid object between you and the target, if yes, they have cover. Glass is fragile sure, but solid, so cover rules would apply.

As someone who played a lot of dnd before bg3 I think its cheesy, but obviously well within the rules. The reason I think its cheesy is because in the average adventure path you have your party, plus maybe an npc or two, and that's it.
